I think I heard if you have a small child you can stand in line all together and if one child isn't tall enough the parent can wait with the small child and then when the other parent and child are done they can switch and the other parent can ride it as well? Is this true? We will have a a 5 year old and a 2.5 year old when we go. The only one that I think we will all want to ride that the little one can't is Soarin?

Subbing. I am wondering how this works with FP+. Does everyone who is tall enough for the ride need a FP+, or does the Rider Swap pass function as an "extra" FP?

For example, if we have 3 people able to ride the ride, can just 2 of us have a FP+ for that ride and the 3rd use the Rider Swap pass? Or will they check that all 3 of us have a FP+ before issuing the Rider Swap pass?

Rider Switch is true but you won't be allowed to all wait in line together. Your entire family will need to be present at either the SB or FP+ entry point and at that time you'll let the CM know that you'll be doing a rider switch. The CM will issue a rider switch pass. Parent A and 5-year-old will enter the queue while Parent B and 2.5-year-old wait for them to exit. Once Parent A and 5-year-old exit, Parent B and 5-year-old will go to the FP+ entrance and give the RSP to the CM.

The other attractions that come to my mind are BTMRR, Splash and TT as my newly turned 5-year-old loves them.

Think of Rider Switch as a bonus FP+. Only those riding first will need a FP+ reservation.

Can you do it without the fastpass+? LIke if its a ride that isn't terribly long but long enough we wouldn't want to wait twice? And if I read correct you are able to do it with fastpass.

Thanks, that's the answer I was hoping for. :) Makes my FP+ planning a little more complicated, but hopefully we can get more out of it.

Another question - when I booked my room/ticket package online, it shows that we'll be getting a MagicBand for the 1-year-old. I assume this won't be able to be used to get FP+ since she doesn't have park tickets? I didn't think she'd get a band at all but the site has one attached to her name.

You can do a rider switch with or without a FP+ reservation. If it's an attraction that you won't be using FP+ for, you just simply head to the SB queue to get the rider switch pass (Parent B and 5-year-old will then use that pass for the FP+ line once Parent A and 5-year-old are done riding stand-by).

Even the little ones (without tickets) get magic bands :thumbsup2 My 1 1/2 year old was obsessed with his band, he never wanted to take it off :lmao:
