Has anyone stayed there recently and is the area safe? Does the hotel look well kept or is there still peeling paint on the building? We are thinking of staying there with a group of teens, because staying on property was going to be so expensive the week before Easter. Maybe we should consider Buena Vista Suites.

I have not heard much about this place, but there are so many other nice properties that I would probably go somewhere else like Buena Vista Suites.

You could also look at the Caribe Royale which is next door or any of the Marriott's in Marriott Village.

Hope this helps!

bumping as I'm looking for info. on this place too that is more recent!

We are staying there for 2 nights in April before we can get into our condo. I did a search on the hotel review forum and there were very positive reviews. We are staying for free (using points) but I heard the rates were reasonable. It looked nice on the web site.

I guess it depends on how long you plan to stay there and what's important to you. I liked the fact that there was a kitchenette in the room as well as separate sleeping quarters but once again we are only there for two nights.

We stayed there in January with my 4 and 5 yr old and it was just fine. We felt safe and enjoyed having a kithenette... and the free breakfast every morning.

I didn't notice any peeling paint, etc. They apparently just did a massive upgrade/overhaul last year. The pool is nice--- and since all the hotel doors face the inside you can see the pool from everywhere. Nice option if your group wants to swim but you want to keep an eye on them.

It was quiet. There is a 7-11 right on the corner, a Walgreens and a Publix right across the street. Also, the town of Celebration has a little carnival a couple blocks down. Nice distraction at night if you so desire.

Now, if you are looking for a Marriott type of hotel then this isn't the place for you. There is no room service, etc. but it is clean, safe and very affordable!
