I get to go online Monday to begin making reservations. DS and I want to go parasailing on CC but I don't know what time of day to do this. We've never been to CC (CC day canceled on our only other cruise) so I don't really know anything about logistics other than what I've read hear on the boards.

DH, DS (13) and I plan on snorkeling that morning, as the advice I've read is that morning is best beore the water becomes murky. We'll have the CC Getaway Package and will float and ride bikes around our other activities.

DH wants us to rent a HobieCat boat if available at some point during the day. We plan on doing the scavanger hunt, too.

What is the Watercraft Ski Adventure like? I really don't want to drop all that money if we just follow along in a line with the guide leading the way. Do you get to do what you want or is it more like a field trip?

I got to actually do parasailing 1 out of 3 times had it booked as it was cancelled do to 'high winds' I had better luck having it booked in morning

the jetski adventure when i did it was just that, following a tour, not worth the $ IMO. When I sailed in August, the whole jetskii adventure was down, changing vendors again?? not sure - maybe someone has more recent experience.

My DD and I rented them on the beach at GC and had a blast, and you can haggle a good price too :)

After reading the description and seeing the jetskis on the DCL website that's kinda what I thought. I'm sure I can find a better way to spend $250.

Do you think we'd have any luck doing this on Nassau? We'd just planned on staying on the ship otherwise.

I'm sure you can. From the ship at Nassau I saw parasailing an jet skis in the water

I think all 3 of these activities are best done in the mornings. Snorkeling is definitely better early just about anywhere, not just at CC. We also like to schedule things that could get cancelled due to weather early because it seems that scheduling in the afternoon runs a higher risk of thunderstorms cropping up and often the winds pick up later in the day too (which can affect snorkeling). Also, we definitely would schedule jet skis in mid-morning because you're not supposed to have been drinking any adult beverages (it's driving just like a car, that's why you have to be 16 and I think they ask if you've been drinking when you check in) so it's best to do stuff that involves motor skills before it gets too late in the day. Parasailing is perfect between 10-11:00. Gives you time to get settled, snorkel awhile then go out. You can still snorkel some more afterward too of course. It's just clearer earlier. We always plan to do as much as we can early, before we break for lunch.

My Daughter and I did this back in October and we had the 1 pm time slot I believe. It was a great experience for my daughter. we both loved it. My youngest daughter and i had a 9:30 am appt for the Stingray adventure.

That is the best time to Snorkle

I did the watercraft ski adventure 2 years ago last month. It was a great experience. you start out all in one line and they give you all the legal jargon about staying in line so far apart. once we got out past the breakwall the leader of the excursion lined us all up said 1, 2, 3 go and we all took off as fast as we could for another island. it is like a field trip, they give you an example of bahama fishing and the sea life and such. then you speed all the way back until you get to the break wall again where you once again line up in a straight line. Hope i answered all of your qustions

We booked the 11:00 am parasail. We had plenty of time to enjoy Pelican Point before it got crowded. When we were done, it was time for lunch and we enjoyed the rest of the afternoon on the island.

I think we picked a great time!

Good luck!:)

Sounds like you might need a couple more cruises booked to do all this in the am. ;) :lmao:
