paranormal/ghostly experiences, anybody had one?

I did....when I was giving birth to my oldest, his heart stopped. I became somewhat hysterical and my grandma showed up, sat on the bottom of the bed, rubbed my leg and told me to relax, that he would be OK. She had passed when I was 16 and I was 27 at the time.

He was fine and too be honest, it was one of the most peaceful/calmest times of my life (as peaceful as it could be in the middle of childbirth).

I do believe that our families look out for us.

I've had knocking on my bedroom door in the middle of the night only to open it and find nobody there. Then there was the mail that I placed on the desk, I went to tie my shoe, came back and the mail was gone. And I was the only one home at the time. I have more stories, but I don't want to sound crazy..LOL

So yes..."I do believe in spooks, I do believe in spooks, I do I do I do, I do believe in spooks!" LOL

We have a ghost pet of some sort. When someone gets into the bed in the master bedroom it will jump up and lie down at the foot of the bed within 10 minutes. I thought I was just imagining things for years until I jokingly said something to my husband; he got a funny look on his face and said he thought HE was just imagining that same thing all this time.

I lived in a home built in the late 40's and had little girl ghost. She was about 3-4yr old and we had a hallway from the living room and she would look into the living room and then giggle running down the hallway. She also loved flushing the toilet, I would hear it 3-4 times a day usually when I was alone. My oldest DD told me later she used to talk to her. She followed us to our next house and then I told her to go to the lite and it would be okay. Shortly after that my toilets stopped flushing on their own.

When I was 18 I saw my best friend the day after he died. A group of us were close friends and we had just found out about his passing. My group of friends wanted to be together so I drove to pick my other friends up, at this point there were 5 friends in the car including myself. As we pulled up outside my house my friend appeared inside my house at the window, I knew no one was in my house at the time. He smiled, waved to us, signalled that he was OK, then bent down out of site and was gone. All 5 of us in the car saw the same thing, each describing exactly the clothes he was wearing and the geastures that he made. I believe he came to say good bye to us all.

When we were kids and stayed at my grandma's house, she would get up a few times during the night and check on us. About 6 months after she died, I was sleeping in the back bedroom of her house with my then 2 year old son. I woke up around 6:00 a.m. to see her crossing the room in front of me. She looked much younger (she was 99 when she died) and was wearing a long, white flowing gown. She disappeared into the wall when she got to the end of the room. I wasn't scared at all. I was just calm but curious. I went back to sleep right away. When we got up, I told my mom that grandma had come to check on Ryan and me. My mom said she didn't doubt it!:)

I've had several.

At about 19 years old, I went to a party in a nearby rural town. Driving home late at night (and after having had probably more to drink than I should have and still been driving) I was going along one of those windy rural roads when someone screamed "Stop!". Problem was that I was alone in the car. So I stopped. It was very dark and after I caught my bearings and adjusted my eyes to the darkness I realized that the road was going to curve up ahead, which I did not know, and so I would have continued going straight which would have put me off the road and into a small river.

My DMIL died in December. The next fall, we did a bunch of yardwork, and it was my job to take all the clippings and such to the dump to put in the compost area. The compost area was a large area walled in on 3 sides by a concrete wall, with the other side open so you could back your car up to it to dump out your stuff. So I get there one morning, and the compost area is completely empty except for a gardenia bush sitting in a pot in the middle of this big walled-in space. My DMIL's favorite plant was a gardenia. So I took it, because as soon as I saw it, I "knew" it was from her. I brought it home, told my DH the story, he thought I was a kook, told me that since the gardenia had been sitting out in the freezing cold November day that it was probably going to die. He continued to make fun of me for being a kook until the next Mother's Day, when that gardenia flowered.

My late DFIL loved pansies. He & I were very close. Every spring to this day (he's been gone 8 years) I get pansies randomly growing in weird places...I never plant pansies, but I have had them sprout up out of a crack in the sidewalk, in a flower box that was filled with dirt but I had put nothing else into it, under a random bush in the yard. I always tell my DH that his father sends me flowers every year. ;)

The night after we put Ted down, I felt him jumped on the bed and lay on my feet for about 10 minutes. DH actually felt that one too.

I've got a million of these things. I think stuff like this happens more than we think, and if we are open to it, we would realize it. And truthfully, IRL I am a pretty logical, sensible person, not too much of a drama queen...but I have always felt like the people who love us don't leave us...they are just sort of on a different "plane" or something...

After my father died I had a dream or vision of him sitting in a glowing white light just talking to other people. I've had dreams of him being with me but he never lets me follow him.

After my cat died I had collected all his little toys and put it in a small computer part box he loved to play with. This cardboard box had a very strong closure, we put the box in a closet. My mother had found another toy we wanted to put in the box a few weeks later and the box was empty. We truly believe he came back for his toys.

I poped up the Ghost Hunters thread. It has tons of our personal experiences on it. Also check out You Tube ParanormRUS 1 he has tons and I mean tons of paranormal shows you probably did not even know existed. Most Haunted being the least believable compared to the others he has.

I am intrigued by the paranormal, and I do believe in ghost. I have been to Winchester mansion in San Francisco, and nothing. I have been to Rose Hall in Jamaica, nothing, been on the haunted tour here on Chicago, zip. I guess I'm just to eager to see something.
I do have pictures that have orbs in them, but DH just says that it's dust.
