Looking into a week in the Toronto area in August and discovered there is a theme park in the area. Is it worth the visit?

Canada's Wonderland is more of an amusement park than a theme park. Rides are more based on thrill than theme. There is a full waterpark inside the park that is included with admission. It is approximately 40 minutes north of Toronto. It;s a lot of fun if you have kids. I worked there for 14 years!

just expect long line ups in the summer
(Sorry-no fast passes here-LOL) Because it is the only theme park in the area, it gets very busy. But it has Nick jr characters for kids, and lots of thrill rides for adults/big kids. Several roller coasters as it is known for!

Clean and lots of rides and sections. it's worth the money.
There are a TON of neat things to do in Toronto though. Lots of great shows too if you're into that kind of thing.

Not that it really matters, but it's not "Paramount Canadas Wonderland" anymore. They were bought by Cedar Fair Entertainment Company.

Try to go midweek. We try to go in June before school is out. We like it and go every year.

Our family dislikes it ...but then again we compare everything to WDW (and its not even in the same league)
