Ok,
I E-mailed Rosa yesterday and this is one part of her reply.
Should this be a concerned. The words seem to suggest you need a passport or some other ID other than a US. ID.
Or am I just being tp paranoid? the last thing I need too do is plop down over $1600.00 and find out at the gate Sorry you can not use these. I did not get home in time to call her back. What do you think?

The Florida Sun in the Sun Ticket requires the use of biometrics and may required proof of identification via passport or international driver's license with support photo ID for admission.

I received (3) of the fun in the sun passes from PIT a few weeks ago. They do say on them that they use biometrics and a photo ID. My passes DO NOT say you need a passport or international ID. I am not worried and have used PIT before.

I have written specific question to PIT about the id and I have it documentated that they stated a drivers license is fine. I will be picking mine up at the UPS place tomorrow and I know they are new ones. If anything has changed about the id I will post it. I wouldn't worry. If there are any problems you can take it to their office and they will work with you.

Are the 10 Day World Pass and the 30 Day Fun in the Sun pass guaranteed in any way? I mean if there would be any kind of problem at the entrance gate {or in the case of the 30 Day pass at any of the other places offered} can you call them or take them back there and replace them with regular park hopper passes or receive some other kind of compensation? Will they work with their customers? My family is still a bit apprenhensive about these UK passes. Even though I have read them all the positive posts here on the Dis they want to know if there still is some sort of guarantee to fall back on. Anyone know? Thank you.

PIT is located in Orlando. If you are that apprehensive why don't you buy hoppers from PIT? They have the best price on hoppers too!

Thanks Muffy. I really am trying hard to convince them that the 30 Day pass would be great for us but they're just a bit afraid of getting burned. No guarantee then eh? Maybe we will have to get the park hoppers then. I agree they do have the best prices. Thanks again for sharing all your valuable information.

I am thrilled to get my 30 day passes and feel certain PIT backs their tickets. I used the 10 day passes without any problems and will use the 30 day passes without any problems. In fact we had the best trip ever with all the perks associated with the 10 day pass and expect even more of the same with the 30 day pass. Some folks just feel better going with what they are familar with.

Did you get the tickets or a vouchers to us to exchange to tickets when you get there?

Thanks
Scott

I was apprehensive also, but I wrote to PIT and got a response that they will back their tickets and if there are any problems to bring the vouchers to their office and they will get it straightened out. I feel fine about getting these, I ordered 4 of these last week. As Muffy stated, they are right there in Orlando so you can go to their office and take care of any problems. I think the fun in the sun passes are going to be great. I can't wait to use them. We will probably turn them in the first day we get there, before we plan to go to any parks so if there are any problems, no park time is lost.

Thanks for the reasurance. Just got off the phone with Rosa and brought 10 fun in the sun tickets and 8 Islands tickets and 10 busch gardens Tickets. Did save alot, but also spent a fair amount.

Scott

Thank you so much for letting me know this. I really want the 30 Day Fun in the Sun Pass and I'm sure when the rest of our party knows that Paramount does indeed back up their tickets we can now get them. You folks are so helpful. I really appreciate it!

Can someone explain how these tickets work -- you get a voucher that you turn in where to get tickets??

IT IS MY UNDERSTANDING THAT YOU TAKE THE VOUCHER TO ANY MAINGATE SHOW A PICTURE ID. THEN GET YOUR FINGER SCANED? THEN TURN IN THE VOUCHER FOR A 30 DAY PASS.
I THINK THIS IS HOW IT GOES. MUFFY HAS HAD SOME EXPERIENCE IN THIS AREA MAYBE SHE CAN HELP BETTER THAN WHAT I CAME UP WITH

What if only the kids are getting the 30 day passes - DH and I are getting AP's.

I belive that the children need no ID as long as you present your ID. and I do not think they need to get the bioscan ether. but I would call PIT to confirm all of this

I think Steve is right about children not needing a photo ID. You hand in the voucher at the ticket booth and they give you a 30 day pass that looks like a hopper but requires biometrics. Of course children at WDW do not have to do biometrics with any ticket or pass. Kallison, just call Rosa and ask about the process for children handing in the 30 day pass. Then tell us what she says!

FYI:

My 14 y/o had to do the biometrics thing and show her ID several times with our 10 day world pass last month. Luckily, she always carries her military dependant ID with her.
