Paradise Point Tramway

Has anyone ever done this without booking it through Disney? We were wondering how much the Tramway cost, and how easy it is to get tickets? If anyone has ever booked this through Disney, do they provide transportation, or is it just something to walk too?

This was our favorite "off-the-ship" experience.
We didn't pre-book this and it is an easy 10-15 minute walk from the ship. Just be sure to just say "no thanks" to the taxi drivers who tell you it's not worth it - they're just looking for a fare.

The view is amazing & the ride is fun. There is a cafe and some shops at the top along with a bird show and a nature walk (wear sneakers instead of sandals - it's rocky!).

We loved Paradise Point! It is an easy walk from the ship (if the ship docks like it normally does). The view from the top is fantastic. The birds are really cute as well and you can pose for pcitures with them for a small fee (or free if you buy a frame from her shop). We got a really cute picture of us (me, DH and his parents) with the birds.
