Before DCA, I thought the other side of the hotel was better. It's a little quieter since it's away from the street. But the view of DCA is nice. I do believe the lights stay on well into the night. View rooms at PP make you feel like you are staying onsight. Higher floors are better IMO, for less noise and for lovely views.
We had a free upgrade to a view room at Christmas 2001. We had 11th floor. We never had a problem with noise in fact until we opened the window we couldnt een hear the Electrical Parade (A big highlight for us) The lights were on until midnight even though the park closed much earlier. I loved people watching from my room I felt like it was my theme park and all those people were my guests. I love that view room a lot.
My family of 5 always try to get the "view" if we can. The kids love looking at the parade from our window, and my hubby and I can enjoy a glass of wine while they are engrossed in the parade. Its beutiful to look at after all the guests have left the park, very serene. Have fun! Patty
