Thanks to the new fall promo we are now staying on site for my son's birthday trip in October. We have never stayed on site at DLR (only WDW). I would love to hear any reviews and see any pictures that others might have of Paradise Pier as well as the Lilo & Stitch Aloha Breakfast at Disney's PCH Grill as we are thinking of taking my ds there for his birthday breakfast with the free vouchers we get from Costco travel!

Me too! We are going for DS birthday in October. We are booked at the Hojo, but am tempted to switch to Paradise Pier for only a little bit more $$$$.

Have read mixed reviews about PP, so am hesitant since Hojo gets such good reviews.

We have stayed at PP once, last December for our anniversary. We ended up being the magical moment family of the day and got upgraded to a large view room on the top floor. The room was very nice, actually nicer than the DLH rooms we have stayed in. We have done the Lilo breakfast twice now and love it. We have also ate at PCH grill for dinner and food choices are plentiful and food was reasonably priced. Our only negative on PP is we did not like the extra walking that was involved (keep in mind we have become spoiled staying at GC) and I have a problem with my left foot which fatigues on occasion. Other than that for the rates I was seeing on Expedia for a hundred bucks a night I would not hesitate to stay there again for that price.

you might want to plug your dates into Expedia. A lot of nights in October and November are coming up for $100 per night, $49 cheaper than the fall special pin code.

We loved it. Beds were comfortable, and the 3rd bed in the room was a full size bed as well and very comfortable according to our younger daughter used it. We were also treated when we stayed, we were the "Big Kahuna Family" (2006 this was) and it was special. The Lilo & Stitch breakfast is fantastic. Food is normal for those things, but there was alot of singing and dancing for the kids, they have a ball. I highly recommend the PPH.

We prefer PPH. The walk is about the same, except you have to cross a street at the light (no big deal).

The rooms are larger than dlh. As far as Lilo and Stitch. We had a little trouble with Stitch breaking one of my daughter's toys (they say his character is a bit feisty.
We prefer the Minnie and Friends breakfast in the park.

pictures we will try to work on. Not sure about hosting; I am somewhat cpu illiterate.

The same package from expedia was a total of $77 dollars cheaper, however it did not come with the extras we get from booking with Costco (free character breakfast, gift card and lanyards). We wanted to have a character breakfast for my ds birthday anyhow, so this is why we booked with Costco.

Hi, can someone please provide a link or tell me about the "Fall promo" ? My friend is looking into the Paradise Pier for our October trip, we've never stayed there before.

I haven't seen any fall special Pin code emails yet. I have received several other PIN codes this year, but they all end on the last day or two of September. You mean that Disneyland Destinations has circulated another round of PIN offers for fall (October and on)? If so, this is big news, because thus far, there have been NO good rates for any of the 3 DLR hotels for fall and beyond - not even for AP holders.

Oh, and about the PPH - I like it. I like the theme, it's cute, the walk is not bad at all, and I have stayed there several times (the last two times are detailed in my Trip Report - link below in signature).

There is a pin code that you receive through your email but that can only be used by the person who received it.

Disney also has a fall special going on with their packages. If you stay for 4 night you get $400 off.

Plus Expedia has some fantastic deals going on for fall dates. I got PPH for $100 per night, DH was going for $151 and I saw DGC for about $220. These rates are not good every night (DH only had availability 2 out of my 4 nights) but some people are getting lucky.

Just plug in Paradise Pier into Expedia or hotels.com. I saw $100/nt on both sites for my dates.

And now I have the same conundrum. I've got the Hojo's reserved at the ENT rate of $69 for the deluxe pool view room. I think I'm gonna keep it, but $100 for PP is awfully tempting.

I just got off the phone with Costco travel, and switched our ressies from Carousel Inn Oct 14-18, 3 day park hoppers to: PPH Oct 14-18 4 day park hoppers for $105 more. I did get a pin # yesterday, but it did not come close to this upgrade!! I have been very nervous about staying at Carousel Inn, and stayed at PPH last December. The walk would be closer, and I will have a child in a wheelchair, but I would rather stay on sight!!

PPH is nice, we like it a lot there. Rooms are big, decor is great, walk isn't too bad at all. Enjoy!!

Whoo! I only recently started using Costco for our travel (Vegas in April, and up upcoming DLR in October) and have found their prices great and service fantastic! I can not wait to stay on site for our first time in October at PPH.

I am guessing you have to be a costco member to get that rate? I tried to go to their site to see their price but the link there isn't working. Any specifics on the cost and the cost of a membership?

Thanks.

We love the PPH. Here's some pictures for you.

Entertainment dresser, mini-fridge inside as well. Notice the Mickey lamp on top. You can also see the sofa sleeper which folds down flat (like a futon) into a bed.

Close up of hallway carpet. Hmmmm, since it's no longer the "Sunwheel" but rather "Mickey's Fun Wheel" I wonder if they'll have to change the carpet? - LOL.

Close up of our surfboard room number.

Pool slide (hubby, myself, and our boys love the slide and pool area at the PPH. It's a cute boardwalk theme).
DSCI0191.jpg

We were there during halloween. Notice even the rubber ducks are dressed up in costumes - LOL. There's a ducky-mummy and a ducky-ghost.
DSCI0127.jpg

We returned from the parks our first night to see that Mickey left us a special card welcoming us to Disneyland and four HUGE cupcakes and some bottled water. Awwwww, Mickey is so sweet!
