I suffer from a bad case of indecision...

I don't know which Disneyland Resort Hotel to book. Should I go with Paradise Pier or should I go with Disneyland Hotel. DL Hotel is $35 more per night (I'm always looking to save money), but is it worth it? We won't be using the pool (it's wintertime). Oh, family of five in one room.

Help!!

I've stayed in both hotels a few times. The Paradise Pier rooms are supposed to be a little bit bigger, but I can't say I've ever noticed the difference - I'd probably need to switch from one hotel to another during the same stay to notice.

I personally like the Disneyland Hotel better (and would pay the $35). It's more central to things, especially the way the DLH "anchors" a section of Downtown Disney now. I understand that Paradise Pier has it's own entrance to DCA (I haven't stayed in Paradise Pier since it was the Disneyland Pacific Hotel), but it seems more out of the way.

The Disneyland Hotel has a larger standard hotel room with a day bed plus two queen beds that will sleep 5 very nicely. The bathroom is huge with a seperate toliet area which makes it alot more private for people. It will be worth the extra $35.00 per nite easily. Just make sure you request the Marina Tower or Sierra Tower. The Bonita Tower has not been refurbished yet. Have a Disney Day!!!

The Bonita Tower wasn't refurbished, but I did like the large wet bar area better, and I had a lovely view of the waterfalls and pool area. The deep discount travel agency rooms (parking lot-city view) are on the backside of the Bonita tower.

You can sleep 5 in the PP rooms, if you pull out the sleeper chair. A child can sleep there easily. But the rooms are definitely smaller. the DLH rooms are roomy.

Teri,
If you stayed in the Bonita Tower and it had a wet bar area you must have had a suite.
I know when I had the Royal Suite in the Bonita Tower we had 2 bdrms, living room with wet bar and powder room then french doors leading to the bedroom with vanity and bathroom.
Both rooms had a walk out balcony overlooking the fountains. Plus the Disneyland hotel has a great espresso shop. They didn't have the one at the Grand Californian open this last time I stayed there. And if your from Washington State you need your caffine!! :pinkbounc :pinkbounc :pinkbounc See what I mean?? Have a Disney Day!!
