The Paradise Pier Hotel is the third hotel in the Disneyland Resort chain. It is the farthest from the entrance to the Disneyland and California Adventure parks. However, guests staying at the Paradise Pier Hotel can enter the California Park through an exclusive gate that leads them to the area next to Mulholland Madness. Guests returning from Disneyland have a separate queue for the monorail, which lets them on before other guests. They will need to show their room key to the cast member when boarding the monorail.
The hotel is 14 stories high, and offers the following views: City/Standard view (and with concierge), Lower Resort Level, and Upper Resort Level. Some guests with Upper Resort Level can see the fireworks from Disneyland. Guests with resort views can watch the Electrical Light Parade wind its way through California Adventure while music is piped in through their television. Guests who stay in a city/standard-concierge room can request a cabana room. These are on the third floor, and have a little patio with a gate that guests can use to walk up to the pool area. These are particularly nice for families who love to swim, or plan on going to the pool bar. The Paradise Pier also recently converted some of their rooms into suites. I saw these up on the 14th floor, but didn't actually go in any of them.
There are two restaurants:
PCH Grill has casual dining. For breakfast, you can join Minnie and friends, for a character breakfast buffet. When we were there, Donald, Pluto, Daisy, and Max joined Minnie, and mingled with the guests.
Yamabuki Japanese Restaurant is rated highly in Orange County. They have excellent sushi there, and other foods that people with more traditional tastes will enjoy.
The pool is a rooftop pool, and you get there from the third floor. It has recently been completely refurbished, with a new 3-story slide added, as well as a children's pool, and a pool bar area. I really liked the views from the pool bar area, and it looks like a great place to enjoy an evening and watch the fireworks.
There is also a fitness room at the Paradise Pier Hotel, which is available to all hotel guests.

Notice the hotel has no balconies. However, if you choose a city-standard view-concierge, you can request one of these cabanas. They have little patios with gates so you can walk right to the pool. These are only on the 3rd floor.
