Paradise Pier Hotel ... some possible news

<font color=navy>This hasn't been verified yet, but I heard that the Paradise Pier Hotel pool will be under refurbishment from September 7th through the 11th. Guests will be able to use the Disneyland Hotel pool during that time.

Also, I heard that the exclusive entrance to Disney's California Adventure will be closed permanently. Guests will be able to use the Grand Californian exclusive entrance to the California Adventure park.

aagggghhhhhh!!!! That is right over our weekend and my kids are so excited to try that pool out. That is all they have been talking about. I guess its not the end of the world but what a bummer. Sounds like the private entrance wasn't all that great anyway but wouldn't you know it! Oh well, can't complain when you are going to the Happiest Place on Earth!

I loved that entrance! It was so low matience, I wonder why they would close it ?

I bet because it was low maintance. Ive heard that it wasnt often used and became more of a cost than a perk...

Ive used it both times heading towards DLH from Paridise and it was nice..

An update. I called Paradise Pier and was told by a CM that the pool would close the 7th but reopen on the 11th. We'll see when we get there. Thought about changing to DL Hotel because of this but am too close to my dates to change my package on expedia. Hopefully the parks won't be too crowded this weekend so we won't have time to swim anyway. What is it with kids and hotel pools anyway?
