Paradise Pier Hotel questions

hello all! A few questions (forgive me if Missed a resort thread) on Paradise Pier:

1. What is the coffee situation? Is it complimentary in the morning and purchased any other time of the day?
2. How are the restaurants?
3. Any tips I should know?

We are taking a trip there soon and pretty excited!

1. No complimentary coffee, except what you are given in your room.
3. you used to be able to go to the parks through the grand but you can't do that anymore. Cut through the parking lot into DTD.

How was the food there?

Coffee can be made in your room. (Same as GC, except they use Keurigs.) They use the Cuisenart Pods. You can ask housekeeping for extras if you need it. The onsite restaurant is Pacific Grill. It is a character buffet in the am, and a dinner buffet.

I think they've recently made some changes to available food at the Paradise Pier.

There is PCH grill which does breakfast buffet (character, I believe) and Italian-themed breakfast buffet.

There is also Surfside Lounge which seems to have a pretty extensive menu for breakfast and lunch/dinner, along with a full bar.

And there is also the Sand Bar (pool bar) which has a fair variety of things.

We stayed there about a month ago, for the first time in a few years and were surprised to find the Surfside Lounge - it didn't used to be a restaurant! We're staying again next month and I'm excited to try some of their food.

I just realized I never followed up here post-trip.
Here are my thoughts:
The hotel was nice, food was decent; we did not do the buffet. The elevator system was unique and worked better than I expected it to.
The sink and shower was weird; it seemed very low. I am only 6’1”, and had to vend down to use the sink.
It wasn’t too bad of a walk to the parks, but next time I will either try the Disneyland hotel or go back to the Grand Californian.
