This will be our first time staying at this hotel (now i'll be able to say i've stayed at all 3 hotels! :cool1:) this weekend and we have Concierge level with Theme Park view. My questions are:

1) Where is self parking? Is it the same parking lot where you park for the Grand Californian self parking?

2) How is the walk from PPH to the parks? Is it just as long or shorter than walking from the DLH to the parks?

3) Any fun tips I should know about with Concierge?

Thanks my friends :)

1. It's in a small parking garage just behind the PPH. Enter the PPH from Disneyland Dr. Under the portico and the road will wrap around the hotel to get to the garage.

2. Shorter than the DLH. About 10 minutes. Walk out the front up to the intersesection at the north east corner of the PPH. Cross the street and follow the sidwalk into the GCH. Go in the front doors and make a left. Go strait to DL or make a right along the back of the lobby to DCA.

3. Take some extra drinks and snacks back to your room or with you to the park.

1) Where is self parking? Is it the same parking lot where you park for the Grand Californian self parking? No, it is right behind the hotel. Turn right instead of the left you would take to get to the CGH

2) How is the walk from PPH to the parks? Is it just as long or shorter than walking from the DLH to the parks? It's about the same as the walk from the DL hotel. Just take a shortcut through the CGH to DTD for DL and use the special guest entrance at the GCH to access DCA ... it is available to all resort guests including the PPH

3) Any fun tips I should know about with Concierge? Have as much food, snacks and drinks as you want ... take some back to your room for later too

Thanks folks!

Someone had told me that we park in the self-parking for GCH. Good thing I asked! And will definitely be bringing snacks back to the room/parks with me.

My DH and I had a wonderful time when we stayed at the PPH in October. We also had a theme park view with concierge level.

They have lots of snacks and water and are happy to let you take them with you into the park or into your room. Also in the evening, there is beer and wine if you desire. (Which you can also take to your room.)

Also they can help you with reservations for restaurants in the park. Not to mention she was able to help us with getting our boarding passes printed the day before we left.

We usually entered the park by going through the GCH, and then walking through Downtown Disney.

I can't comment on parking as we didn't have a car.

Oh and be sure to watch World of Color from your room, so magical, and it gives you a different perspective on the show. There is a channel on the TV that you can switch it to, to listen to the soundtrack.

Oh and if you have kids, they let you borrow DVDs to watch in your room.

Thanks Kristen for the tips! Unfortunately (or maybe fortunately?) I won't be able to partake in the alcoholic beverages in the evening since i'm 10 weeks pregnant, but i'll be sure to tell my DB and DMom about it, since i'm sure they'll love some!
