Anyone done this? What are the perks? What do you get? Anyone know where I can find out that info.

Ta!

The short easy list is:
1) includes some breakfast material like danishes, bagels, fruit, cereal, coffee, tea at the lounge
2) free juice and soda
3) wine and cheese happy hour (chips and dip too) from 5 to about 7
4) can borrow DVDs to play in your room
5) use of the one computer in the lounge (no hogging, please)
6) help with meal reservations and such

Frankly its the least concierge experience I've ever had but its still fun and convenient if you get it at a good price.

We did this at the beginning of October, and we LOVED it! We checked in at 6:30, and they had just opened up for the day, adn the kids got to eat breakfast, and watch cartoons while I checked in. Breakfast was pastry's, fruit, cereal... They had juice, milk, soda, coffee and water. Hmmm... what else... Bagels... I guess that might be about it. Then I filled up our stroller with water and soda and juice for the day. I only took 2 drinks for each of us, because thats what I heard you were allowed to take, but no one checked, or even asked.

We came back for the kids to swim, and take naps and what not. While the kids were napping, there was a knock on the door... It was room service with the Chocolate covered Mickey Mouse rice krispy treats!!! He had 3 of them, and said "A gift from Disney" I was SOOOO excited!! :woohoo: and they were delish!:thumbsup2 Then I went to check out the Lounge... They have Lumpia... YUM! The girl gave me 2 beers, and I took a huge plate of food... They had cheese, crackers, a hot app. veggie tray, plus some cookies. Chocolate cover strawberries.. All sorts of yummies! Anyways... We loved it!!! I would totally recommend it, and we would totally do it again. In fact, my dh has made it his mission to try out Concierge at all 3 of the Resort hotels!:lmao: :lmao:

You can also borrow board games at PPH concierge and the free booze from 5-7 includes beers and wines only, no hard liquor. We did concierge for our first stay at PPH and loved it. The Mickey rice krispy treat on your first night was a real special touch. We loved having snacks and drinks available during the day and we definitely took advantage of the wine and cheese hours.

we are staying there in Dec. on the AP4 rate. I don't think I'd pay regular prices, but at 189 theme park view, we thought we'd try it. I am glad to hear people enjoy it.

I'm so glad to hear your positive review, we'll be at PP concierge in about 3 weeks! :cool1:

For those of you have stayed, can I ask a silly question, to take breakfast items or snacks from the lounge, do I need to bring baggies so we can carry snacks into the park? (OK I obsess about planning)

I would. All they had out were little plates. I had a bit of a problem getting the goldfish out for my kids...They would hit the plate and fly!:lmao: Then I saw a woman putting them in a cup...duh Megan:sad2: :rotfl2: But I would bring baggies!:thumbsup2

A few other tips/ideas we learned while we there:

- happy hour/dinner is from 5-7. We would get there at 4:45 grab our appetizers, waters for the park that evening etc. The helpers would ask the few people sitting at tables (ahead of time) if they wanted beers or wine & we were served at 5 on the dot. Lots of folks rolled in between 5 & 5:15 & it was a crowded at the food bar. We were off to the parks while others were still waiting for their beers.

- uncrustables & other good items were often stocked at lunch. We would nab items at our mid day break & put in the fridge so they were available when we returned to our room at 8:30-9pm.

- 2 water bottles per person prior to leaving to the park. 6 bottles (for us) X the number of days in the park is alot of money saved.
