Hello everyone,

4 of us (all adults) will be on the Dream this December. Id love to hear from folks who opted to just go to Paradise Island, and Atlantis recently on their Nassau stop. What is the best way to get there from port? Is there a public beach cruise passengers have access to? Can you visit Atlantis and look around without being a resort guest? Are there any (COVID) restrictions to be aware of?

Thank you

There are both regular taxis and water taxis that will take you to Paradise Island, but I do not know if the water taxis are currently running.

All beaches in the Bahamas are public up to the high water mark. That being said Atlantis will not allow you to walk through their property to get to the beach unless you have purchased a day pass. The easy access public beach on Paradise Island is Cabbage Beach.

You can visit the shops, restaurants, and casino. You cannot access the aquariums or outside areas without a day pass.

As a day guest you will have to present proof of vaccination for COVID, show proof of a negative Rapid Antigen or COVID-19 RT-PCR (swab) test result done within 5 days before you visit Atlantis and wear a mark while inside.

We did the day at the beach excursion at Atlantis. A boat ride was part of the package. I would NEVER do it again. The beach was packed, wasn't that nice of a beach and peddlers were CONSTANTLY try to sell us some crappy trinket. Just awful.
