Whats a good tip on parades? in each park, where should we stand, and how long do we need to wait there?

This really depends on what time of year you are going. We go in early June and usually stake out spots for the parades at least an hour in advance--for Spectro and Wishes it is usually 2 hours. As far as a good spot here's some ideas:
AK - if you stake out a spot in Africa you can see the parade twice as it begins and ends in the same place
MGM - where the parade starts, near Star Tours, is a good place. There seems to be more interaction with the Streetmosphere performers in this area than in other places where we have sat.
MK - Main Street is usually the preferred spot but it can get really crowded. Again, if you sit near where the parade starts, in Frontierland, you are in perfect position to hop on some rides once the parade passes--the lines are pretty short since lots of people are still waiting to see the parade.

I generally plan to skip the WDW parades unless I just happen to be in the area. We saw the Jammin' Jungle Parade at AK on our last trip, and are now planning to see it again this trip. It obviously made a huge impression on us! Very energetic and with "puppets" like in the Lion King on Broadway.
