parade viewing

Hubby and I will be at DL on Thursday for the afternoon and early evening. We would like to see the Parade then hop on the Monorail to DD for 830pm diner where is the best place to sit and watch and do this?

My suggestion would be to sit in the vicinity of the teacups across the street from them, near the walkway from Fantasyland towards the subs. You can bolt as soon as the last float is moving and beat the crowd to the monorail. We did this last week one night, got on the first car, while everyone else clammered for a spot in the Nemo line.
