Parade of Dreams to WDW?

I have heard that the Parade of Dreams is leaving to WDW and that the Mainstreet Electrical Light Parade might move to DL or Spectromagic would swap with Parade of Dreams. Has anyone heard anything?

I personally love Spectromagic but wouldn't mind seeing MELP there either!

When was the last time there was a true nighttime parade at DL?

I do remember reading that DL was working on a new parade for next year and that the Parade of Dreams would go to WDW to replace theirs.

I will be sad to see the PoD go. We've seen it a zillion times and we still love it every time!

I'd love for Spectro to make it here- my one trip to WDW, it was cancelled on my 2 opportunities to see it due to a thunderstorm and tornado warnings. I was crushed.

There are rumors, and I must repeat these are strictly rumors that next year, the Main Street Electrical Parade will be leaving DCA. . .





. . . and crossing the esplanade to return home. Once again, I repeat that these are rumors.

Apparently, Disneyland is getting a new parade in 2010 for the 55th anniversary to replace the Parade of Dreams. There has been no official confirmation from either DL or WDW about PoD going to Florida. If I called the shots at Disney, I would send the PoD to Florida only after the new parade is ready to start.

What was the parade before POD? And when didn Mainstreet leave Dland?

The Mainstreet Electrical Parade had its last run in Disneyland on November 25, 1996. It was run in WDW from 1999 to April, 2001. In July 2001 the parade returned to California and now runs on select nights at DCA.

That would be cool if they ran the eletric parade every night!!!! Cause we are going in october of 09 and that would be kewl if we would be able to see it!!!
