Parade FP at end of August

We will be traveling with our little over 2.5 year old. Wanted to see if anyone had any feedback on whether getting a Mainstream Electrical Parade, Wishes or HS fireworks is worth it. The only reason I am debating is to not have to sit down and stake out a place to sit---but if it isn't that busy at that time of the year, would we be better off securing other afternoon/evening ride FP?

Also, is there a night time Frozen parade or fireworks on a regular basis?

I think even with FP you have to stake out a place to sit (could be wrong as I've never FP'd this before)...personally speaking I wouldn't hold onto a FP until the end of the day though as you can't secure any more FP's until you've used up the ones you have.

We grabbed a fastpass from a kiosk for Fantasmic - you get to sit in a more central section, but still need to arrive early if you want to be near the front. It looked as if the dining package section was even better than than FP section. I don't know if I would use a FP for it again, but like I said, we had done all our attractions and grabbed one for Fantastic as our fourth.

I also used FP for FOF parade. It was a nice view, and not crowded with people (the main reason I got the FP). However, the area they corral you has zero shade and we were absolutely roasting. For MEP obviously the sun is not an issue.

It depends on your priorities - maybe missing one attraction is worth it if it will mean a happy kiddo. With the little one you may not be using the FP on the mountains and thrill rides, so a parade or Wishes could be a good use of one. I think that on my next visit I will get one for Wishes, just because the crowd is a bit much for me and I don't like being coralled, told to move forward, etc.

If you and your family would prefer to not be jostled by the crowds and have a (more than likely) front row seat to either parade without rows of people pressing up against you I highly recommend it. It also frees up some time from having to stake a spot earlier. I have used it for both parades (as the rides aren't as big of a priority for our family) and we loved it.
