Does anyone know whether Disneyland will be having a parade for the Women's World Cup Team? I see that they are all coming to Los Angeles for an ESPY event tonight, Wednesday July 10.

they are going to the ESPY Awards in the Microsoft Theatre, in Downtown LA. Thats about a 90 minute drive at least from Disneyland. The parade was held in New York. Disney a private company wouldnt just hold a parade for a national sports team.

I'm not at all sure what you mean. Disney holds parades for sports teams all the time. They used to have commercials where they paid athletes to say....."I'm Going To Disneyland/Disneyworld!!"

Thats marketing and advertising where Disney and the teams enter a commercial partnership, Disney would have PAID the sports teams and athletes to appear in the commercials and parades.

Thats very different to a national team being honoured by their country with a parade to celebrate their sporting achievements in international competition

From today's Washington Post: https://www.washingtonpost.com/sports/2019/07/08/uswnt-parade-nyc/?utm_term=.9f1f862532cf

When the United States won its second Women’s World Cup with a penalty-kick shootout victory over China at the Rose Bowl in 1999, the team waved and danced atop red, white and blue floats driven along Main Street U.S.A. at Disneyland the following day.

“As fans roared from behind ropes, each player shook hands with Mickey Mouse,” The Washington Post reported. “Forward Mia Hamm almost knocked him over with an affectionate hug and kiss.”

I don't know about that, back when Michael Phelps won what felt like a gazillion gold medals (LOL) he came to Disney World (might have been 2016?) It was our last day in the park and as we were heading towards Splash Mountain they made an announcement that he would be in a special parade down Main St. People quickly turned around and headed to Main St. we looked at each other and high tailed it to Splash. We rode Splash, BTMRR, Space Mt., Peter Pan and I can't remember what else, but all while everyone was waiting for a parade. We kept whipping on and off rides hollering, "Thank you Michael Phelps!" LOL
