Parade Float Changes

InsideDLParis have reported that the 'The Magic of Romance' float on the parade had it's last outing today. This is the float that Rapunzel, Tiana and Ariel are on.

They're apparently revamping the float in time for Christmas and it will house Rapunzel again and plus some characters from the new Frozen movie.

Until then, Ariel, Tiana & Rapunzel will 'dance' down the parade route with their Princes.

I'm not sure what will happen to Ariel & Tiana once the float comes back though? Perhaps they will have their own carriages built?

I'll miss seeing Ariel in mermaid form & Rapunzel on her swing - it's one of my absolutely favourite floats so will be weird seeing the Parade in October without it. It does also mean that if they are at normal 'floor' height, you'll only get a good look at them if you are right at the front.

I'm glad I saw it from the window at Walts three weeks ago! I still that this is a bad idea to cut the float....no badies either and its already too short without parade stops! In fact its an awful parade compared to OUAD!
Having said that, our daughter hasn't seen it yet and we're taking her on Wednesday for 6 days so she'll enjoy it She knows the badies aren't there but we're going Halloween to make up for that, plus a few are out in the Studios a lot so stalking it is!!
I'm looking forward to the new float in December though!!!!!

Talking about floats, let's just wait for the brand new Halloween Cavalcade (Mickey's Halloween Celebration) which will run 3 times a day in the parks and will feature a whooping ... 3 floats ... (with a couple of other motirised units in between) and no baddies on the parade. (runs oct 5th, oct 31st, baddies will meet in the castle's courtyard, around the sword in the stone)

We had hoped to see the return of the "Dreams of Power" float, from DOUD, but it seems it won't be happening (that float has already been, or will probably be scrapped for spare parts, following the fate of many floats so far...

I loved that float, too! It does seem like the parades are becomming more and more walking processions than ones with the big elaborate floats of years gone by *sigh*.

But there will be baddies around the park at Halloween - according to my DD, that will "do nicely".
I'm looking forward to the Halloween and Christmas cavalades as I've not seen them before. I think this is is part of the problem too, the fact we've seen and adored these two missing floats is what makes us miss them. New guests will still love the parade as they don't know any different. But the parade is still way too short for my liking.

That float is being redesigned to be used for the Calvacade along with Jafars float from Fantillusion.
