Parade & DCI show

We made it through our city's festival parade yesterday. DD is drum major for our hs marching band and our show this year is Pirates of the Carribean. The rain held off for the parade and it was bright and sunny. Made it through the parade without anyone passing out or getting sick. Late afternoon the rain started. They considered moving drum and bugle show to the hs but the skies cleared and the show started about 45 minutes late. Half way through the skies opened up again. The remaining corps just played their music and judging was discontinued. Really a disappointment but the field was just too wet for anyone to perform safely. We were really looking forward to seeing Phantom Regiment and Cavaliers performing. Just have to wait till next year!!
