Parade at MGM question

I thought I read somewhere that the parade at MGM now includes the cars from the movie Cars.

Does anyone know which cars are included and how long they will be there?

When we were at MGM a couple of weeks ago, we saw Lightning McGee and the tow truck Mater off of the movie cars. I think I have the names correct. They were driving down the road beside Who Wants to be a Millionaire. They may have been headed to the parade route, but that is where we saw them.

We were there in May this year and they had Lightening McQueen and Tow Mater. They were so cute! We loved them - by far our favorite!

I've seen picture of Lightning and Mater in the parade on a web site. My DS can't wait to see them. I think he wants to ride them. Maybe they will turn the International Speedway in MK into the Piston Cup.

Yes, now they are in the parade!!! There the 1st characters to be seen in the parade!!! Tow Mater and Lighting McQueen!!! There also in the MGM at the BIG HAT!!! There so neat to see!!!

Just curious, do they talk as they go through the parade or do they follow suit with the other "non-face" characters and don't talk? Just want to be able to be prepared ahead of time if my kids ask why Lighting McQueen isn't talking to them. (I have always told them that Mickey can't talk to everyone because then he would lose his voice by the time he saw Minnie each evening. And if Mickey is not able to talk to everyone, then he can't talk to anyone. He is just trying to be fair )

Are they there for you to walk up to in front of the Mickey hat?

They are in both the parade and appear back by where the Power Rangers appear in Streets of America at scheduled times during the day. They don't talk but my kids loved them. Here are some pics:

My DS's can't wait to see them either. We go next month.

FYI-if your kids love the CARS, I was just in the Hallmark store and they have an ornament of Lightening McQueen and Mator. I think it was for $15.00.

My family and I have never seen the parade at MGM. This is something we have planned for our next trip. Can anyone suggest an ideal spot to view the parade?

We always sit across from backlot express and star tours and get there an hour before cause you won't get a good space. It's right near the area where they come out too.

I was there last week and they were NOT in the Stars and Motor cars Parade. I was very sad since that is what I wanted to see and we saw it from begining to end. They are on Streets of America but we missed them.

FYI dd and I were at DCA this week (on Tuesday) and they were there right before the Block party bash. Hopefully they will be like Mickey and are able t be seen on both coasts!

the two cars are still at the studios. They just don't ome out if there is a chance of rain. They can't get wet at all.
