Parade and nighttime show

What is the best location to view the superstar parade and nighttime show at Universal? How early do you need to be there to get a good spot? Disney veteran but this will be our first time at Universal so all help is appreciated!

Anywhere is good around the lagoon for the Cinematic show.

You really don't need to be there early....there's plenty of space. Nothing like Disney

We have stood near Mel's Drive-in and down from Simpsons area. Both are good.

For the parade, we like to be near Cafe la bamba/Horror Make up Show area.

I haven't even seen anything about nighttime show and parade at Universal. Is this every night? We will be there early June. Still going on then? What time? Thanks!
