DCL will send you an excursion booklet closer to the 60 day out date. You can't make any DCL excursions until 60 days out from your cruise, also, your excursions through DCL are charged to your stateroom account.

We received excursion information when we paid the remaining balance. We called to reserve this excursion at exactly 60 days before our cruise date. I would suggest doing that because I heard that parasailing at CC books up quickly. Goodluck!!!

Hey... Wait a minute...

I have been paid in full for about 2 months now and I am less than 60 days out, and I didn't get a cruise excursion booklet. What's up with that???

Does the fact that I booked thru AAA have something to do with it? I have called them about once a week since the 60 day mark to get flight schedules and to see when my doc will arrive but they never said anything about booking cruise excursions!! They did say I wouldn't get the flight times and number until 10 days out and the docs should be in at the 14 day mark!! I am going NUTS!!! I need the flight numbers to give them to the town car service. I am so impatient!!! I HATE WAITING!!!!

Lynda,

I booked our cruise last August with DVC and I got the excursion booklet directly from DCL at about the 62 day out date. I made our excursions "ON" the 60 day out date so I wouldn't miss out on the parasailing. A fellow cruiser waited a week later to make her parasailing excursion, and it was already sold out.

I would definitely call AAA right away about this. We used them before too, and although very pleasant & nice, they were definitely not on top of things such as informing us about excursions & sending out documents to us as quickly as possible. You definitely want to make your excursion reservations as soon as possible from the 60-day mark.

I guess it just depends on the AAA rep. We booked through AAA and when we paid the balance about 10 days before the 60 day mark she gave us a copy of the excursion list and told us exactly which day to call DCL to reserve our excursions. A few days later, we got the brochure from DCL in the mail.
EmmasGrammy, try calling AAA again and ask them specifically for a copy of the excursion list. Good luck!!!

In two cruises I've never gotten an excursion booklet. I've just researched them here and on DCL's official web site.

I know at WDW kids can parasail. Is there an age limit if you do it while on cruise? My daughter will be 7 and we would love to go tandem.

the first DCL cruise, our TA never got us the excursion info either. I went to the DCL website and got the info, and called in on my own. Second time, we got it a couple days ahead of time. OUr TA was a AAA agent...

Sorry, but i am pretty sure that a seven year old will not be allowed to parasail.

Also, i think there is a minimum weight, so if the girls are very slight, then you should ask what that is, and make sure that they meet it with their weights combined for the tandem thing.

Here is what the DCL Excursion booklet states about parasailing on CC:

Parasailing
45 Minutes (5-7 minutes airborne)
Guests must be at least 8 years old of age and weigh more than 90 lbs., but not exceed 375 lbs. Children under 13 must be accompanied by an adult.

WOW, guess we will just have to do it at WDW. What 8 year old weighs 90lbs. My daughter is 6 1/2 and weighs 43 lbs. I don't think she will doubling her weight in the next year and a half. I think that it is odd their rules are so different from WDW. Thanks for the info.
