We bought 7-day Hoppers 2 or 3 years ago but were unable to use them when planned.

Now we are going next spring, and I believe I read somewhere that our paper tickets would have to be exchanged at guest services for a plastic card.

Right ?? Or am I mistaken about this ?? We'll be scheduling our FastPasses on-line, so if the tickets must be exchanged, the FastPass info will transfer with them -- right ??

Please put my mind at ease about this!

First you need to link your old tickets to your MDE account Profiles. If they link, then you are good to pre-book FPs.

Your FPs will also link up to the Profiles.

When you exchange your tickets for the hard, plastic tickets, all links remain intact and you’ll enter the parks and FP lines with the new tickets.

I may be wrong, but if one links the old tickets in MDE and it works then you probably don't need to do anything else. If you already have magic bands or will be receiving them then you don't need a hard ticket either.

If the OP has paper tickets and does not have MBs, the old tickets need to be exchanged for the RFID plastic tickets.

Yes, they have to be exchanged, BUT NOTE, you do not have to go to a Guest Relations window. Take the paper tickets (assuming of course they have a bar code on them and are not just vouchers) directly to the Touch-Point and the Park Greeter CM there can scan the bar code and issue "hard card" ticket media. This process became available about a year and a half ago.

Yes, I do have the tickets linked to our profiles in MDE, and they do have bar codes.

Not familiar with the "Touch-Point" ---- I assume this is available at all 4 parks, but where is this point located? Before the turnstiles or after ??

And, if we wanted to go with Magic Bands, how would we do this?

The ‘touch points’ have replaced the turnstiles. It’s the entry point for each of the parks.

For MBs, link the MB ID code to the correct MDE Profiles.

(Wow, I've been to WDW 14 times, most recently in 2013, and all of a sudden, I feel clueless !!)

So .... about the MB's ....... if I order these on-line, they will come with an ID code which I can use to link to the MDE profiles????? (Geez, I feel so stupid about this .....)

We're traveling with little ones, and I'm thinking the MB's would be better for them than the plastic cards.

And, I assume, if I were to do the MB's,. then there would be no need to do anything further at the TouchPoint ???

@donna in Oz - MBs have an ID code on the underside of the band and that’s what needs to be entered/linked to the correct Profiles.

Once the MBs are linked, you’ll be good to enter and won’t need to exchange tickets because the MBs provide the link to the digital entitlements.

Thanks so much ...... sounds like MB's are absolutely the way to go. Guess what my family is getting for Christmas, LOL !!!
