I am trying to redo my paper organization.

2 questions

1. What categories do you use to separate patterned paper? I have about 50 or so slots to utilize.

2. What color categories do you use to separate your cardstock? I will have about 30 slots to begin with.

Thanks in advace for any suggestions.

Susie

2. ROY-G-BIV (rainbow) then lightest to darkest. But smooth cardstock is separated from textured. and 8.5 x 11 is first 12 x 12 second.

1. Patterned paper is random right now but one of the girls at my crop today had hers done by pattern, flowers, stripes, plaids etc.......

I have separate sections for other things, like holidays, seasons, and kids. I also have a separate sections for paper packs like Basic Grey, Daisy D's, Cosmo Cricket.

FYI My stuff is in cropper hoppers.

My paper needs help :) I have the envelopes from Mike's that have velcro closure - vellum, bazzill, other cardstock, printed.
That's just 12x12, my 8 1/2 by 11 is in a file thingie, broken down by color (I have a lot of this size because I do a lot of cards as well as scrap)

This is what I have comeup with to divide my paper:thumbsup2

black
gray
vellum
white
cream-tan
brown
pink
red
orange
rust
yellow
gold
lt green
dk green
turqoise
lt blue
dk blue
purple

I have six slots open on this one so I think that I will use those for 8 1/2 by 11

Then it will be on to organizing my patterned paper in the cropper hopper vertical storage.

I am never going to get this area done. :confused3

Any helpful hints will be greatly appreciated.

This is what I came up with for the Disney swap items. I have a filing cabinet in my office that I don't use but it is a nice wooden one that is like a credenza so I think my Cricut is going to find a home there. Anyway, I am taing file folders and sewing them up the sides and labeling them for what character/ride/restaurant it is....then I am filing those under what land and then what world they are.

I am going to do characters by alphabetical order.

In addition to swap items, I am also going to put purchased things in the folders too instead of having a big disney tub and two dresser drawers.

I figure if I can see what I have, I will stop buying so much.

That's what I'm doing for my Disney embellies and swaps stuff too. Characters, restaurants, resorts, parks, lands. I put rides in the lands except for MGM, they just go together. I also have a separate binder for WDW holidays, like xmas and halloween. We have been to MNNSHP and MVMCP so when I go to scrap those I'll have the stuff in one place.
I also have binders for other embellies, sorted by theme.
