I keep reading to have paper copies of your tickets, but I don't understand what this is???

I bought my tickets when I booked my trip through the WDW website, I'm not getting tickets in the mail, it's just on my bands. Even other trips, the tickets were just on room key, I had no paper tickets.

What paper tickets are you guys talking about? Should I be asking for something?

Thanks! :)

The bands have no always existed. If you are staying offsite then you won't have a band either. You will have a physical ticket. The advice you are reading is to make a paper photo copy of a physical ticket in case it gets lost or stolen. While good advice for some, it is irrelevant to someone staying onsite with a band.

No. I'm talking about posts where people are trying to get in with their magic bands and are being told there is no ticket linked to it (or something). So they say it's good to have paper copies of ticket.

I know magic bands haven't always been around, I've been going to WDW for a looong time. ;):rotfl:

I just got done reading that thread. the OP had a physical ticket that she linked to her MB. It is still possible to order physical tickets though she was using unused days from a no expire ticket. So her ticket was not "on" the bands when she got them. She added them through the whole Disney Experience app/webpage. My best guess is that the OP had booked a room only reservation since it is a DVC resort she was staying at. And her tickets were bought separately from the room.

I would assume that this is only a concern for people who book room-only reservations and then purchase tickets separately who therefore would have physical tickets that they have to link to their MDE account themselves.

You should have something from when you purchased your package to show what you bought, such as an e-mail confirmation.
