I have seen some Paper Bag Albums on Two Peas and think they look neat. My LSS is having a class on it this Saturday and I was thinking about going. Are these difficult to make? Also, what size do they end up being? Most of the ones I have seen are gift books, but I want to make one for me! :) Any good ideas on what theme I should make mine? I don't want to do a trip, b/c I have too many pictures for this kind of album. Approx. how many pictures should I have for one of these?

Thanks so much! :)

I just went to a scrap convention last weekend and took a class on paper bag albums. I also had the opportunity to make several of these in the make & take hall for free.

These are the cutest things, and they go together in a flash! The finished size depends on which lunch bags you use. I bought the larger lunch bags at Target, but I've also seen little bags at M's or Wal Mart. You can use as few or as many pix as you like. The most fun I think is making the pages and embellishing them. It only takes a few sheets of paper, and you can have one finished in no time. I think they make great gifts for anyone. I'm (hopefully) going to make some for my DD's friends who will be leaving for college soon. I thought they could have a "moving in--first week or so" book.

I don't know how to post links, but I'm sure someone here can post one for the directions for making them.

I've made 3 now, and they are soooooo easy to do! basically you take your lunch bags (and you can use as many as you want) and what I do is fold them in half and then use all my scrap paper, it's easier to cover each "page" vs putting the paper across the entire bag. (so for a 6x6 book you would get 4 "pages" out of the 12x12 paper). I use the binder rings to put them together and tie the ribbons around that. and depending on how you layer your bags, you will have the openings all together or you can get them as every other page. maggie

there is a book out from pinecone press called paper bag books...it is really cool, though you don't have to get it...all you do is stack the bags, fold them in half and either sew them, use brads or eyelets or ribbon to bind. then embellish!!!!

I would really like instructions on how to make them...is there a good site out there with instructions?
