I did a post search for him a while back. He was posting just a few times on some of the trip boards, so he was around. Just not posting here. Maybe busy planning a WDW trip?

I also remember he was hoping to start his own BBQ spice store in the spring. Hopefully, he's just caught up doing that, and doesn't have the extra time to surf & post here.

A third thing that came to mind was, he's been missing since before the the new CB rules of no political & regious posts. He usually posted positive "fluff" posts. He might have finally gotten tired of all the negative harrange going on in those days and stopped coming here.

May be a few/several posters can PM him, tell him of the changes & invite him back. I always liked his "fluffy" posts.

Remember when he put all the peppers in one bag at the grocery strore and the trouble it caused???

I remember that because I was recently at our corner produce store. I put all the different colors into different bags. The cashier got irritated at me for wasting bags! Truth be told, I do like their bags, they are excellent for storing food. But, here PD got in trouble for the exact same thing.

I haven't seen him. There are quite a few posters that I haven't seen here in awhile, now that political and religious posts are banned. I'm not saying that he was a political poster, just that I haven't seen him in awhile. I always enjoyed reading his posts, they were usually insightful.

It seems very hard to notice when people are missing, but some people like Papa Deuce, do stand out in my memory. So often, I don't even realize people have stopped posting there are so many other distractions here.

Thank you all. Yes, I am fine. I needed a DIS vacation. It was just too nasty here for a while. I didn't see a need to do a YAGE, so I just abruptly stopped posting. Many DISers have sent me a PM, asking how I am, and telling me that new policies have really improved the DIS.

I may come back, but to a FAR lesser degree. Right now I have other concerns - not necessarily bad ones.... after 18 years at my job, I have been told that I am ghetting laid off at some point in the next 12 months. I'm actually excited by that prospect.

My wife and I are working on a plan for me to be a Stay at Home Dad.

I'll beg to differ on the negativity here. It had gotten perhaps a bit too negative but too much sweetness and light can be a bit cloying too.

OK, just quickly.

1. As I said, after 18 years I now know that I am getting laid off within the next year. Could be any day / time.

2. This Friday is my 10 year wedding anniversary.

3. Looking forward to spending time with my family - I barely see them now.

4. My DJ business is growing, especially the children's entertainment side.

5. I'm feeling really good.

6. Except that I have an undertermined allergy, even after being tested. It is NASTY! They think it is shellfish, but because of my meds, they can only get an 88% accuracy reading on it.

Mostly, though, life is good!
