PAP v. AP + WQAP = same benefits?

Any benefit to PAP over having AP plus water parks/Quest annual pass?

My idea is this:
**We're going June (7 day trip), August (18 days), Feb. 2015 (7 days), maybe June 2015 (7 days).
**Buy WQAP ($381 for 3) June 23, and go to water parks and quest for 2 or 3 days.
**Then, June 25 or 26, will buy AP ($1,828 for 3). Go to parks for 3 days (ending our trip).
***PAP is $2,174 for 3 (which is $35 less than buying AP and WQAP separately).
**This way if we go June 2015 (the week is already set - my kids go to summer school starting last Monday in June) we could go to WP/Q first 2 days of our vacation (then that will expire), then MK HS etc. next 3 days.
**Thus, for only $35 more than buying PAP, we squeeze in another vacation June 2015 with something to do for 2 additional days. (Then again, if we have 5 snow days here near Boston next school year, we won't go in June at all. But I'll assume we will go June 2015.)

We wouldn't use the PAP benefit of the sports place, and very unlikely to mini-golf (sounds fun but we have that near our home).

Can anyone tell me if I'm missing some benefit of PAP?

FYI My prices are net of Target credit card and pharmacy discounts (which works out to 9.75% off Disney's prices).
TIA!

You say each option is $35 more.

I believe the two separate passes is MORE....

If you get extra days out of it though I say go for it.

I have my passes separate because of timing. My WPaM expires in August and my AP expires in November. I must say it is a bit of a pain keeping track since the rest of my family has PAP ~ but if you are just using it the one time and not renewing it should be a big deal.

Thanks for your thoughts - especially helpful as you did exactly what I'm considering, and I appreciate your thought that it is a bit of pain to keep track of the different expiration dates. (Yes, I wrote that wrong - edited it.)

I see in your numbers talking about a Water parks/Disney Quest pass @ $127 per adult pass. Where are you getting this number? I show a water parks annual pass is $104 + tax (does not include disney quest) and then a Disney Quest annual pass is $90 + tax (does not include water parks), or a combination wp/dq pass is $132 + tax
Then the annual passes are $634 + tax per person, so would be $1902 + tax for 3 for the standard passes.
Premium passes are $754 + tax, totaling $2262 + tax for 3.
AP + WP/DQ COMBO = $$766 + tax, totaling $2298 + tax for 3 by my math

Sorry - I should think more before I type!

My prices are after my Target credit card discount and Target pharmacy rewards discount (5% each, but not doubled - it works out to paying 90.25% of Disney price). I.e., I buy Disney gift cards at Target, then buy the AP/whatever tickets from Disney directly. (If I could buy APs from UT, I would - discount is similar without the gift card hassle.)

Guess I'm really just asking whether there are any benefits to the PAP that I'm not thinking of. Seems just use of the sports center and mini-golf?

PAP is not good for mini golf but you can use it at one of the golf courses.

Since PAP no longer gets 20% merchandise discount I don't see a disadvantage to your plan.

Thanks, lovesdumbo! (I had forgot about merch discounts.)

I think I have a plan now - thanks disboarders!
