PAP Magic band link activation?

So I am about to purchase a PAP that will link into MDE. My question is do I need to do something to start using the band itself? I will be driving in and getting to the world mid morning and want to head straight to a water park. I don't know id I need to stop in DtD to speak to customer service to make the passes live or something. I was kind of hoping that that day when I tap to enter Blizzard that my pass just works and I can go about my business.

When you buy it online or over the phone you actually get a will call or voucher that links into MDE so you can make your fast pass selections. We had to go to guest relations an actually have the tickets linked to our bands to make them work in a park.

They need to see your DVC member card and ID to verify eligibility before they are activated.

I received green card vouchers in the mail. I was able to scan them using MDE on my ipad and it shows them linked to my bands.

You'll still need to go to guest relations or a ticket booth to activate it. You'll also get actual AP cards in exchange for the vouchers. You need that for discounts.
