PAP cannot be mailed if using gift card?

Yesterday I ordered 4 PAP's. I paid for my PAP with Disney gift cards and the other three with a credit card. The CM said my PAP could not be mailed but the others could. This doesn't make sense - anyone else have this experience?

Three PAP's for my family are being mailed but mine I have to pick up at Disney in May.

They don't mail out actual PAPs, only exchange vouchers. With the exchange vouchers you still have to go to a guest relations location or theme park ticket window to get the actual PAP.

They offered to mail the vouchers to me (that I purchased with gift cards), but I declined. It would be just something else I would forget. My license, now that I will remember to bring to show photo id when I pick them up.
 
They also offered to mail our vouchers for the PAPs. We paid with 33 gift cards and a very small balance on cc. The fee was $5 for 10-12 business days delivery and $15 for fed ex delivery.

Since we are leaving in about two weeks, I opted for the will call.

The CM also advised me to keep the gift cards that I had used to pay for the PAPs. He said the standing policy was no refunds for tickets, but that they did realize there may be occasions when it would become impossible to activate the PAPs and the only way that they could refund the money was to put it back on the same gift cards from which the money came.

Good advice. I will keep my used gift cards as a back up if needed.
 
I was told that I have to bring the gift cards with me to guest services when I activate the PAP. I am glad I only had one gift card, can't imagine having to bring 33 of them!
 
It is so interesting that all of the CMs give out different info. I bought our PAPs a few weeks ago using a Disney rewards card and a CC. I was told that will call was my only option. When I questioned that and asked for a voucher he checked with a supervisor and was told no that was not possible. They won't even give you a receipt by email. Nothing. nada. We will not be activating the passes until next November so I would have like to have something in print.

I know...there is definite inconsistency with CM's.

I noticed my visa wasn't hit with the three pap's yet so I'm a little nervous if it went through. But I do have a confirmation email for the three visa pap's.

Also when I made my purchase, the CM told me my one PAP purchased with gift cards wouldn't have an email confirmation-just verbal confirmation! Another questionable comment. Why would PAP's purchased with visa have an email receipt but a PAP purchased with gift cards would not get an email receipt?!
