So excited to be heading to Disney in 2 days! Doing last minute packing and wondering if I should bother packing a pair of jeans and a sweatshirt at all. I know it's going to be hot but wonder if ill regret not having something should it be a rainy night?

Your thoughts?

I would burn up with a sweatshirt but might pack one pair of capri pants. But I'm also one of those people who can't understand why people are saying they are freezing in the stores and restaurants because I'm still too warm. LOL

If it rains, it's still going to be hot and humid.

Leave all that at home.

I always bring one zip-up type sweatshirt that I wear on the plane, and then that way I have it just in case... Sometimes the air conditioning in the restaurants can be cold!

Leave it at home! When you go in the restaurants and inside you'll be cooling off! There lows are still hot even at night.

I am one who is always freezing. I leave on Saturday for our WDW trip :cool1:
I will probably wear a hoodie (we are in Michigan) because it will be chilly here when we leave at 4:30 AM, and I will be cold on the flight. But we almost always visit in June and I know once I hit Florida I can ditch the hoodie/jeans while I'm outside. Now inside with the air conditioning is another story...

I always have a sweater or sweatshirt with me in the summer. Some restaurants and stores can be so cold. I think it is due to coming in from the extreme heat to an overly cool room.

Ooh! I leave Sunday! :yay:

OP, I would leave it behind. I can't imagine you will need a sweatshirt.

We are all wearing jeans and a light long sleeve t-shirt on the plane so we will have something if it is needed (doubtful), but it won't take up room in our luggage that way. We used to live and work there so I am fairly certain they will not be needed, it is more or less a "just in case" thing.

I am planning to wear some denim capris on the plane, but that is my only concession to heavy clothing. Now my 16 year old DD might need to take a hoodie or something because she's always cold, but the rest of us will not be taking any of those things.

Went to Disneyland three years ago, same dates. We bought blankets and hoodies because it was so cool in the evenings. Wish I could have talked my family into Disneyland for no other reason than that the weather is so much better!

Me, too. I always bring a jacket or sweater, plus one pair of long pants. I actually found bringing a long-sleeved denim shirt works well for me; it's lightweight, easy to fit into a backpack, and is a great extra layer in cold restaurants and shops.

I had a trip in October 2009 - extremely high heat and humidity for the first week of the trip, so I packed sleeveless tops, shorts, and sandals. At the end of the trip, we had record-cold temps - it swung from mid-90s to mid-60s in the space of a couple of days. It was also pretty windy, and even wearing my sweatpants, my legs got pretty cold (because I didn't bring even one pair of warm socks). So my recommendation is always to bring one pair of long pants and one jacket or sweater - you just never know, and it's expensive to buy that stuff while at WDW!

Brought jeans and sweaters on my trip last month...didn't wear the jeans once...didn't even think about or consider it. The sweaters...I needed almost everyday -- I DO get cold inside the restaurants if I'm sitting for a while. The days I didn't have it with me, I regretted it. But then, I get cold very easily. I live in SC, where the weather is very similar to FL, and usually carry a sweater with me all summer.
