For my birthday next month, DBF and I are going to California Grill for a nice dinner. I looked at the menu tonight, and I am panicking because I'm a very picky eater. As a general rule I don't eat fish, cheese, bread, or gravys/sauces. I don't see anything on the adult menu I will eat. However, I think I would really like the chicken and potatoes from the kids menu. Can I get that instead of one of the fancy dishes on the adult menu? I should add we are on the dining plan.

I know it sounds silly, but I am really worried about this because I want DBF to enjoy the meal and not worry about me not liking my food.

Why don't you choose a restaurant you will both enjoy? It is for YOUR birthday, after all.

You can also order off-menu.

My husband and I are very picky eaters as well and we were scared of the CG but we went ahead and tried it and LOVED IT! They are very accommodating to everything that you want!

Do you like steak and potatoes? That is what we usually get and love it!

They usually have pork and steak--and they will gladly withold all the sauces, etc.

They will modify anything on the menu to your liking. Feel confident that there will be something you will enjoy eating preparede just how you like it!

I just wanted to chime in and let you know I'm jealous of you for getting to go there. If you don't want it, I'll eat it ;)
