Panic! Advice for 12/30-1/4 Trip...

Just learned the parks close down after they reach capacity...any advice on which park would be my best bet on Wednesday 12/31 afternoon to get into? I don't foresee reaching Disney until around 2PM ....was hoping to get into Epcot at least as MK and MGM will likely be nuts...??? Thoughts? Will I not even get into Epcot? Ugh..also, any strategy for avoiding lines or what to do to appease the kids while in line? All I've come up with is "bring the Gameboy's...

Hey, welcome to the DIS!

I've never been at such a busy time, but I would expect that Epcot would be your safest bet. MK has special fireworks (and I hear that MGM may be doing Sorcery in the Sky that night!!) so they would probably be the most crowded.

Gameboys work in line, as do simple word games, bubbles, snacks, people watching, and those light up things after dark.

Bryan, I would make a bee line for the MK as quickly as you can.
If you plan on parking, you might be better served to park in the Epcot parking lot and take the monorail to the TTC and then walk across to the direct monorail to the MK.

Everywhere will be nuts, especially after 4pm. You can not avoid lines, anywhere.

If the MK is closed when you get there, I would take the monorail back to Epcot and count on staying there.

I've actually read a lot in the last few days that Epcot is by far the busiest park on NYE. So I'd try to avoid that at all costs. Good luck!

Epcot is a great place to be, as well as MK, on NYE. It is busy everywhere at WDW. That is what makes for a great NEW YEAR.
