Are the prices the same as the regular stores or are they overpriced bcuz the store is inside the park?
You pay the same price for the charms regardless of where you buy them (not considering any discounts that are available such as AP or Disney Visa).
However, the Disney charms are higher-priced than if they were just regular Pandora charms, I assume this is because of Disney's licensing fees. And, of course, because Disney can charge more and people will pay it. Around the beginning of May Disney instituted a $5 price increase for each one of the park-exclusive charms. Even with the price increase, the most popular Disney charms are still selling out quickly when the online
Disney Store restocks.
As an example of the price differential - if you compare the parks-exclusive Disney Pandora bracelet with a regular Pandora bracelet, you'll find the Disney version costs $80 where the regular version costs $65.
Can you just slide on the charms yourself when you buy new ones? I'm sorry if that's a stupid question, but other than seeing the ads on tv, I know squat about them! What is the deal with getting the bracelets "balanced", also?
Yes, you can easily change around your charms on the bracelet by sliding them off and rearranging the sequence.
Regarding balancing, based on tomato's post, it sounds like the staff will rearrange the layout of your bracelet if you want help it making it look nice and pretty. I've had the same help from my local Pandora store before, I just didn't know that was what it was called. It was actually great fun for me - I pre-ordered a bunch of Disney charms at the store a week before the last free bracelet promo started, and the store manager arranged my charms on the different bracelets I got from the promotion. It was a nice surprise when I picked them up to see how she grouped the charms, and it was a lot better than what I would have done at that point. I probably would have tried to fit them all on a few bracelets rather than create "themed" bracelets based on colors and designs.
It the old pin store location in New Orleans Square.
Oh my, this is ironic - with the advent of Disney Pandora charms I've traded my previous pin-trading obsession for charms! There must be some voodoo magic tied to this location that causes people to spend loads of money.
