Pandora ride height requirements

40" kids will grow and will be 44" eventually. One good growth spurt and they'll be ready for it on the next trip.

On our first trip to WDW we were hoping our coaster crazy DS would make the cut for Space Mtn. First day we head right there to get him measured and the measuring stick thingy was just brushing the top of his hair. No matter how tall & straight he stood. Big disappointment all around for us. They gave him some certificate thing to pacify him but that was big whoop. On our last day of that trip we decided to go back to see if another CM might be more forgiving. Figured it was worth a shot. Wouldn't ya know but that kid had a growth spurt THAT WEEK and this time the measuring stick smacked him right in the middle of his forehead!! Happy day all around for our last day. Growth spurts DO happen... Just saying we've all been there with kids that aren't quite there yet. It will come. Now he's almost 20 and is 6' tall. Time flys. Enjoy 'em while they're still in that toddler size kid stage.

Not all kids grow quickly enough. My 10 year old is 48 inches tall and he wants SOOOO desperately to be able to ride the big coasters. We are to the point that we do not go if he is not tall enough because it is just like pouring salt into a wound!! He would rather not go, than to go to US and not be able to ride. Our problem is that he has pretty much aged out of Disney and legoland. Here is hoping he makes 54 inches before he can drive a car!!

The height differences in 10-year-olds is crazy. My DD's best friend is 65 inches, DD is 60 inches, and there is a girl in their class who is barely 48 inches. It's so tough for the shorter ones who can't do the "big" rides and who everyone thinks are in second grade. Of course, it can be tough for the tall ones, too I took the girl who is 5'5 to dinner at a pizza buffet where there are separate adult and kid prices, and the cashier completely thought I was trying to scam them when I said she was 10. She kept saying, "two adults, two 10 year olds, and a four year old." And I kept repeating that there were three 10-year-olds. She gave me the look that said, "Sure, lady. Nice try!" But as someone who is on the short side, I would rather have the problem of being too tall. Just once I'd like to be able to see over a crowd.

Here's hoping for a big growth spurt for your DS.

I'm 5'10" with a 36" inseam. Being tall SUCKS for pants. I mean, sure you can see, but your ankles are forever cold :D

Also, will the other new ride fall off a waterfall like at MK and Jurrasic Park at Universal?
Thanks!

Well, since there is no height requirement for this ride, as stated by the OP, what do you think? Picture people holding babies.

ive been dreading the thought of going back to AK, now with this ride I'm looking forward to it! The 60 day FP+ window though I'm guessing will be a challenge.

My 10 year old DD is 51-3/4" and weighs about 55 lbs soaking wet and will likely be around 5 feet tall full grown. Me on the other hand I'm 5'7" (not too tall, but not short either). There are days DD tells me she wishes she was as tall as me only because of that dreaded "oh look how cute she is". She's like dude I'm 10 you can stop that now.

If she is 43" barefoot, she'd probably hit it with sneakers on.

This! My 6 year old is dying to go on RnRC. He is 46.5 inches barefoot right now. We leave in 2.5 months. I plan on bringing his cowboy boots if needed to get him the extra half inch.

Here's Good Morning America's Pandora segment:

The 2nd Pandora ride will be showcased on The View with Whoopi and James Cameron later this morning.
I was taking pictures and sending them to my husband. More evidence as to why we need a trip this summer! (Which I've been planning for a few months anyways:rolleyes1)

Just watched the view and the boat ride has the potential to become my new favorite Disney ride. It is beautiful!
