I was thinking about getting a bracelet and charm for my daughter for Christmas and then adding to it every year on birthdays and special occasions, ect. Does anyone do this? Pandora has a line and I also saw one at Kay Jewelers as well. The Pandora ones didn't seem too out of reach costwise but I'm not sure if it's too gimicky of a thing and not really a quality piece of jewelry. I'd rather pay more and get something that will last and not just something that will fall apart or she'll break easily. If anyone does this for their wife or child let me know what you think. What's the best deal as far as quality and budget goes?

Pandora is very high quality and been around a VERY long time... It has really Taken off in the US in the last couple of years but it has been around a LONG TIME... not a gimmick AT all...
I'd go for Pandora before I would go into Kay's... thats just my opinion though.

imo i love the one i bought myself at the cape this summer. I bought the troll bracelet and love it. You get to choose your clasp and they are really cute and you can fit the troll beads the Pandora beads and the Camilla charms. Camilla is the only one to make the Disney charms. I love that i can pick and choose whatever beads I want.

Check out TROLL BEADS. They have been around longer than Pandora, and all of the beads will fit on these bracelets, Chamilia, Pandora, Kay...all of them. So your choices for beads will be huge. Troll also has the prettiest glass beads of them all in my opinion.

I purchased my DD (a tween) a Pandora as my neice (who is in her late 20's) has an issue with her Chamila bracelet. My neice has the Chamila bracelet, she only has the Disney charms (Chamila ones) on it. The charm with M&M on it is stuck and will not come off, the end of the bracelet split when she tried to take it off. If she takes it back to where she purchased them from will they be able to fix her bracelet or is she stuck with a broken one.

Did she have the leather style chamilia bracelet

I have a Troll bracelet and I love it. My dh and kids buy me beads for the special days. I love it!

Have you seen the brighton.com website? Many beads to choose from at a great price. I have had mine for 2 years and have never had an issue with the bracelet or beads. If a brighton item needs repair, you have two choices. Take it to a local brighton store or mail it to brighton and they will repair it free of charge.:)

I got my DDs a Pandora bracelet. They love them. Even Aunts, etc. have gotten them beads. My one DD has a car for when she got her license, a fish from Grand Cayman, etc. My other DD got a cross charm (hangs) from her Aunt when she went to Bible camp, a turtle from Grand Cayman, etc.

I have a Pandora bracelet that I love. I love being able to pick out beads that have a meaning to them, and know they are high quality and will last a long time. :)

She needs to take it back to where she got it. Chamilia stands behind there stuff too and the jewelry store should replace it for her. A dud sometimes happens and the good companies like Pandora and Chamilia will fix it. I love my Chamilia. I have had it a year and DD is getting one this year to start her own collection. She is currently jealous as I have 2 bracelets now. DH won the "Be the Match" price at the last Chamilia event at our jewelry store!

I have Pandora. Two years ago my girlfriends started mine for my birthday. I have purchased many beads on ebay at a good price. You have to really set your search selectively to not be overwhelmed with the junk knock off. There are some sellers that have big selections of new and retired beads that can be trusted. My other comment is to make sure you take into account that the size of the bracelet shrinks as you fill it with beads. Something to consider when purchasing.

My daughter is 11. I'm thinking of going with Brighton for her first bracelet because the prices seem more reasonable especially for her age (ie losing it :headache: ). I might check out troll. Never heard of them until this thread.

I have a Pandora and love it! My dh and dks will get me a new bead or 2 for Christmas. I have several other family members who have one and it is fun to pick out beads to give them!

I have a Pandora bracelet and love it! I get a lot of compliments on it and have enjoyed talking with people about beads.

You can buy from the Pandora website or look there for a list of retailers in your area. I buy from a local store whose owner used to work for Pandora.

On the Pandora website, you can build a bracelet. It's fun to try the different colors and styles. You make a wish list so family and friends will know just what you want!:wizard:

I recieved the Pandora chrm braclett from my inlaws last year and I LOVE it so much. The quality is amazing. My husband and son's love to buy me charms for just about every holiday. I got the key and heart one from my sons for mothers day this year. That remains my favorite one so far.
I did makea HUGE mistake and bought a few charms online o ebay and that was a big mistake. They were junk, junk, junk!!! Even though the seller said it was sterling silver 925 it wasn't. the beads I bought on ebay have tarnished But the beads my inlaws and my kids bought me from Jarad jewelers which were real Pandora charms have not tarnished at all.

I bought my daughter a Pandora for her 16th birthday and we've continued to add over the past year and will continue to add as time goes on. I have to say I love Pandora and have two myself.
