Pandora Only EMH

We got to the park @ 7:15. It took 10 minutes to get through security because we had a bag. A little after 7:30 we scanned the Magic Bands to enter, but the line was stopped again at the bridge to enter the park. They allowed the guests to go across the bridge shortly before 8:00. We walked right on to FOP. By the time we got off there was a wait, but I forget how long. We got off and walked directly to the boat ride. It stayed without a wait for a while.

Thanks for the info. We're staying on-site, but I still won't take for granted that we will have FOP FPs locked up. We just might have to do an EMH or two.

When you hopped into the FOP line a few minutes before closing time, how long did you usually wait for the ride? Did you do that during regular park hours or during evening magic hours?

I experienced this during evening EMH from 11-1 between May 29th and June 10th and waited between 45-60 minutes - although the posted wait was always longer ...
Found it remarkable, that although the last three times the line seemed longer - at least it started further back - last day even at the entrance to the "cave" - it didn't take longer than May 29-31 - on the contrary :confused3 - but it seemed to me that during this 10 days the CMs got a better handle of the whole process - after reaching the "Lab" things truly were accelerating.

One problem evolved with the "hopping in line at the last minute" during my stay - a few times they closed the line earlier, because the ride had "reached capacity" and they claimed it would have taken until 3 AM to get everybody through the ride otherwise - this happened on June 2nd at 12:37 - a Friday night - so not FoP for me that night  - oh well, did RJ three times instead :thumbsup2.
I tried a few days later asking around midnight how the chances were for an early cut-off - but the CMs at the entrance said that they wouldn't now until the "closing-call" came from their managers ...
I risked it one more time and got in with no problems at 12:58 - and two times I played it safe(r) and "crossed the line" around 12:40 - I think even 12:30 on my last night - Saturday June 10th.
This was the only time BTW that I ended up in Windtraders after the ride - even if it was about 1:30 already ...
Got the impression the CMs really wanted to go home and what seemed like looong lines really magically speeded up - a little bit like I experienced SDMT at MK after the official closing time ;)

But I've read several times about this early cut-offs happening - so YMMV - especially with EMH being "just" from 10-12 ...

FoP is truly the only ride I would consider waiting that long again - (yes, I consider 60 minutes a long wait ) - but you've got to see the standby-line at least once - not just the "inside" part - the path up to the caves offers spectacular views - especially at night ::yes:: - and you miss all this using a FP - which I did once and it was really fast - and really nice to get "Back on the Banshee" ASAP (hey, after the 5th or 6th time I got really ungrateful and found myself mumbling "cut the pre-show-guy crap and get me my Ikran :duck:- I just want to flyyyyyy )

But again - despite this strong feeling - I will do the stand-by-task again - hopefully soon and maybe even at an late EMH ...
Wait really goes by fast - I think Kevin talks about his nephews experience on FoP in this weeks Dreams Unlimited Show ...
