Pandora, Brighton, Chamilia's, & kohls Help needed..

My dh gave me a note inside my birthday card telling me he's giving me a pandora type bracelet . However he said this seems to be a personal choice too many charms to pick from so he's going to take me out this weekend and I will pick it out with him.

Now, where do I start which company are all the charms inter linked so if I could I could buy some from pandora and some from kohls which bracelets are better too do they fasten well? Has anyone had problems with any of the companies I listed or are there other companies that I haven't listed that are better? Any help would be appreciated

I have a Brighton bracelet which is similar to the Pandora and have used all types of beads/charms-some are the "name brand" beads and some are the cheap kind-you will hear that the cheaper ones have too much lead in them. Our local fine jewelry store is having a special right now (and I think this may be a nationwide thing so check out your jewelry stores as well) where if you buy $100 worth of beads you get a bracelet free so nice way to start your collection. Is the special with pandora or Brighton? Because were I live at my local mall there is a Brighton and a pandora!

I have a Pandora bracelet and it has Pandora beads and a few Chamilia beads (the company that makes the Disney beads ).

I have some cheap beads, too and you can really tell the difference in quality between the Pandora/Chamilia beads and the cheap ones.

I have a Pandora barrel clasp bracelet and I love it. I like the clasp a lot and I find it easy to use and I feel safe that it won't come unhooked. I have a few different brands of beads on mine. The spend $100, get the free bracelet deal is a good one -- great way to start your collection!

I have a Chamilia. The clasp is easy to operate and stays shut. I have lost one bead off of it though. I had to take the bracelet off going through airport security and the Mickey bead fell off and was gone in Orlandao airport. I haven't had any other problems though.

I have a Chamilia bracelet and I love it! I like the clasp....feels safe and easy on/off by yourself. I do not care for the Brighton beads as much as I like Chamilia and Pandora. I have a mix of Chamilia and Pandora on my bracelet, but seem to prefer Chamilia as I think they have a wider selection. I think the free Pandora bracelet with $100 purchase is a great deal!

I used to work in a shop and we specialized in Pandora -- and the beads for others do change out. As far as I have seen (women coming in with other and "brands" and friends having other brands) Pandora quality is better. But, I think they are more expensive! I would buy a Pandora bracelet, and then if you want, add other beads! I don't care for the "lobster" clasp on the Pandora, the other style is, in my opinion much better.... And, a someone else previously said there is a promo this weekend!! I like that the Pandora beads are threaded... I don't know if the other brands are. Have you seen the Disney charms? Oooh cute!! Good luck and have fun! The best part of selling Pandora was oohing and ahhing over all the charms and building bracelets for fun!

I have the Pandora bracelet & a few Pandora beads, as well as some Individuality beads from Kohls. The Individuality beads do fit, however they're not threaded like the Pandora ones are. Kohls had a deal a few weeks ago where all their beads were 55% off, plus I had a 30% of code AND free S&H! I got 3 sterling silver beads for $30!

I have a Pandora which I love. I have beads from Brighton on it as well as the Pandora beads.

I wish I could get out of my town to get to the mall for the Pandora deal but unfortunately because of flooding the roads to the store are closed. My DDs didn't have school today (yep, the 3rd of school) because of all the flooding!

I have 2 Panadora bracelets (silver and pink leather), and a Chamilia silver.

I hate the Chamilia bracelet, and will actually be returning it to WDW, as it comes apart at the clasp. Not as well-made as Pandora at all. I also find the Disney Chamilia charms to be not that great either - blue Mickey Murano glass broke within a few days, as it's a raised design, so by this very design, as soon as you knock the bead, you chip it. Won't ever buy any raised beads again. I find the actual artistry not to be that great either on some of them, as they hardly look like the characters they represent.

On the other hand, I absolutely love my Pandora beads and bracelets! I have the silver double beaded clasp (brand new fall design), and it's awesome, as it prevents the bracelet from opening. Plus, the Pandora bracelets have little ridges, so your beads stay put in a better fashion.

I have 2 Disney Chamilia charms on my Pandora, but be aware, that they don't all fit. I stood next to a woman who had just purchased a bead (can't remember if it was Pooh Bear?), and it did not fit her Pandora bracelet. Also, Pandora will void your warranty if you wear other beads on their bracelet - you can take it in to be cleaned and checked, so you might want to remove those beads, if you so desire.

I much prefer Pandora, and won't buy any knock off beads or any from other companies, as I don't want anything to happen to my bracelet, plus I've read about chipped beads, paint fading, etc. I wish Pandora had the Disney collection, as I probably won't buy anymore Disney beads as I don't care for them.
