Panasonic Lumix, which model

Mine always made it through a full day with room to spare. I guess it depends on how much you use it. I said charge every night to be safe, but I think I actually only charge mine twice a trip. I only take a few movies a day though and maybe 50 pictures tops.

With the ZS7, the battery went down faster due to the GPS, but I just got back from New Orleans and only charged it once while there. Took a couple of movies and about 200 pictures.

Sounds about similiar, we don't take a ton of pics and only a movie here and there. It looks like I'm going to go with the ZS7 because it is so close in price to the ZS3. I'm not sure I will ever need the GPS but for the little bit extra money I figure its worth going w/ the newer model.

while I have not used my Z3 at the prks yet, I did use it while out of town a2 months ago and I ahd forgotten to pack the charger ( I was under duress, family issues) anyway, the charge lasted 8 days and I took about 300 photos in that time, video and played a lot of stuff back. With our DD's lumix ( forgot the model but is similar to the Z-28) We get at least 2 days out of her battery and she tkaes over 400 pics a DAY at the parks...and then looks them over, deletes, in other words, using the power supply constantly and she does not have a back up battery. I have yet to havea battery issue and hers is over 4 years old, so you would thinkthe battery woud start to fade by now. I wish our cell phone batteries were as reliable..by year 3 they are getting weaker and weaker. If you ae not using the GPS you will not have nearly the drain on your battery...enjoy your new camera...any specific color? I do find that I hhave mine with me far more often since it is so compact, and DH says once we have the $ he will spoil me and search for the Z-28 in addition to the having the Z3,,,but I bet DD gets the Z3 and we get her older lumix, and that's fine with me too!

I had a Luminx but cannot remember the model. In fact, I purchased 3 one for me & each of my DD's. I loved them while they worked. Mine broke a few months after the warranty was up & both my DD's stopped working weeks after the warranty's were up.. I would never buy a Panasonic again.... I love my Cannon and it is going strong (knock on wood) since 2007 :thumbsup2
