I've tried to search through old threads, but I'm trying to figure out if the last night is a good one to go to Palo's. It seems like it to me, since we will have already been able to try the other three restaurants. But is there anything particular like a show or other activity that goes on on the last night (on the Wonder) that Palo's might conflict with?

Any suggestions about when to schedule spa treatments? We are doing the REAS package and my TA wants to arrange this for us. We have a 3y/o who take naps in the afternoons, so I thought DH and I could split up and do massages on different days during her nap. Any thoughts?

This is our first cruise so any advice is much appreciated!

I personally like the menu on the 4th night of the Wonder cruise, its the best of menu...

my least favorite menu is Animators, so I would usually go to Palo on that night. I would book an earlier dinner at Palo, then make it to my main dining time, and just get a drink and maybe a dessert.. I don't like that menu as much, but I do enjoy the show.

We don't mind eating late, so we go to the dining room at our regular time and just get an appetizer and drink. Then we make our Palo resv. later for dinner.

That's the best way to us, too, but why stop at just the appetizer! ::yes::

Diselderm:

Based on recommendations I received when I booked by 4 day Wonder and REAS, here is the scenario I found most beneficial:

Palo: Booked it for the last night. There really won't be anything different in the other restaurants on that night. Also, we requested through DCL that we receive LAPL dining rotation so we would not miss the show at Animator's.

Spa: We also booked this for the sea day.

Breakfast in Bed: We are also doing this on the sea day.

As for the massages, if I recall correctly, I am not 100% sure that you can book them separately. I may be wrong on this, and it wouldn't be the first time, but I would have the TA ask DCL about that fact.

Hope this helps.

Thanks for everyone's advice. I think I'll go along with the advice for doing it the last night. I don't know how easy it will be to have time enough to eat/snack dinner twice in the same day with our 3 y/o to arrange for.

I'll have to check on the massages. I thought I'd read that some people have split it up, but that may not be something they will routinely allow.

yes there is a brunch on the 4 day.....it's on the day at sea...
somewhere on the internet there is a menu, but i can't remember where....maybe it is at Barb's site....
anyway, it's what you'd expect at a brunch.....a big fancy buffet , plus hot food you can order...
you have a personal server who serves only you....he/she takes you around the buffet to explain everything, then lets you go wild....and brings you your drinks and hot foods....
we had some special requests, so our server (Katarina), went off to another restaurant to get it for us.....

let's see....what was on the buffet....tons of salads and fruit salads and fruit......tons of smoked fish of various kinds....tons of meat of various kinds (i'm a vegetarian, so i can't be more specific)....tons of sweet rolls and bread....tons of desserts....

and during the day you actually have a view, since you can see out the windows to the sea beyond...
we very much enjoyed the buffet.....and Katarina was fantastic...

Thank you so much, I am so excited, I have been on the Magic and Wonder before, but only the 3 day and they dont offer the brunch on the 3 day. This time I have a balcony room, so I really am looking forward to the day at sea. I always get cat. 12, so you know this is going to be special..
