Are you/did you just take whatever is available? Im hoping to limit down the times I would prefer to be in Palos for dinner, brunch, and high tea. But how do I go about this?

I'm not the best person to offer an opinion since I've never been on the cruise, but I believe you definitely want to do it on a sea day. I personally plan on setting my for Monday, because it is a sea day on the western itinerary and not a theme night which was also important because I didn't want to miss any of my themed nights. This is subject to change though based on dinner rotation. Remember that you don't want to miss the Animators Palatte show.

Brunch, and I think High Tea, are served only on sea days. Dinner is served each night. There's really no set formula for what is or isn't a good time. When you say you want to limit the times, I'm not sure what you mean, but you are asked to give three choices of date and time for dinner, and you usually get on of these. If you don't want to eat on a certain day, don't list that day as one of your choices. You can list something like:

Tuesday, 7:00pm
Tuesday, 7:45pm
Tuesday, 8:00pm

This way you'd most likely get dinner on Tuesday night.

My only suggestion would be not to go on the last night of the 7-day cruise. We did that once, and by the end of the trip we had eaten so much rich food that I didn't really want any more.

I seem to remember a previous thread about a Character Breakfast on your first sea day after Animators Palatte?? Did I get that right? And so you wouldn't want to schedule your Palo's brunch on that morning? If I have DS7 and DS5 what would our most likely dining rotation be?

Whiskers,

I think you're correct about the scheduling of the character breakfast. However, you could do both. The character breakfast is at 8:00am for the first dinner seating and at 9:30 for second seating. Brunch doesn't start until 10:30. You could conceivably do the character breakfast at 8:00 and then brunch sometime after noon.

With 2 small children, your likely to have Animator's first, so I think its:
