PALO UPDATES

Our server told is that the 18 percent gratuity would be added to ala carte. So we knew and we saw our bill on the app while still sitting there.
I told DS, so when he went with DIL they knew the tip would be added.
We enjoyed it and loved our server

Anyone gone recently?
I had dinner at Palo last week on the Magic and it was good. The only flaw was that the chef cooked my requested medium well beef tenderloin well done, instead. I didn't bring it up as I didn't want a fuss, but that was an error that shouldn't have been made. Everything still tasted just as good as before Covid. Much better than what you would get in the MDR.

Hi I finished sailing. I agree it was good. I was a bit nervous reading some reports but I found
everything fine. No not perfect but all things considered I was satisfied.

We were on the Fantasy at the end of September - group of 4. Although it was nice to be with our friends we had not seen in 2 years there was nothing special about it. We all ended up with the prix fixe since it was basically what we all order anyway. Food was just ok. Salad was horrible. Some new recipe they wanted to know what we thought of. They did offer to bring something else when none of us ate it but we declined. I would say it was barely worth the tip we left and if we were not Platinum we probably would not go. Ala Carte for us would be about the same price but the current set up makes it seem not so special.

They ALWAYS overcook meat... I wish they would stop doing this. We ask for ours rare now (we like medium rare) at the suggestion of one of the performers who was also eating in Cabanas one night. Sadly they don't ask your preference for fish too - the salmon is always cooked thoroughly as well. I get it, its better than people getting sick at sea, but really who wants overcooked salmon?

I saw on another post (that is now closed) you had a minor billing issue. I just noticed on my credit
card I'm having the same thing. Gift card not applied...mother n law has a charge on my card (can't
figure that out)... platinum palo credit not applied. Before we left i thought it was straightened out
at guest services and yet just looked at my credit card charges. Sigh.. been on hold for almost an hour
and now being told they will send a request in to investigate. I'm so irritated. Especially since I can't
talk to them directly. Literally 300 has disappeared.

I actually had some lamb in the MDR that came out rare- I didn't state a preference when ordering, so that was apparently the de facto way they cook it.

The billing issue I had from the trip wasn't from Palo, though.

Mine was partly Palo..partly gift shop...part Rainforest etc.... I'm going to cut a bit of slack
since things are still transitioning but annoyed I can't physically talk to someone. Told yesterday
all correspondence is "electronic".
