Palo Tipping???

When you go to Palos do you pay the $5.00 charge on your
disney card or do you need cash? Also what is the tip that I
have heard mentioned that is in addition to the 5.00 per person?

You will receive a slip to sign for the $5 per person cover charge ($10 for brunch). This slip will have a space where you can add a gratuity. For brunch -- we left and additional $10 plus the $20 cover for the two of us for a total of $30.00. The total charge will be added to your room account.

It has been mentioned in the past that the cover charge actually is split between all of the staff at Palo including cooks, etc. Therefore it is customary to add an additional gratuity.

We have always gotten excellent service at Palo, and we base the tip on what that sort of meal would cost in a typical restaurant. Also, keep in mind that an automatic gratuity is added for alcoholic beverages.

According to Salvatore (our waiter and paisan), the $5 or $10, which DCL says is tip, is split between about 20 people. So, any extra that you add stays with your server.
