My wife and I are running in the Disney Half-Marathon on 1/11, and then hustling to get to port (with our 4 kids and her parents) for the 4 day Wonder cruise (our first cruise of any type, ever!!) leaving that afternoon. We definitely want to eat dinner at Palo at least once, but probably won't be on board very early. I think we may make it to port around 1 PM.
Questions:
1) What are the chances that we will get a reservation?
2) On the 4 day cruise, which day would be optimal?
3) Do they do the wine tasting at Palo on the 4 day? Which day?
4) Is there going to be a brunch at Palo on the 4 day cruises in January? Which day(s)?

Thanks very much!

Congrats on running in the marathon!

I don't think you'll have too much difficulty in getting reservations for dinner at Palo if you're at the port by one. Once onboard I would head directly to the Palo reservation site though, just to make sure.

Hope you have a wonderful first cruise!

Similarly, congratulations on the marathon. What an accomplishment!
I went on the 4-day in May (you are going to have the best time). We did Palo the last night so that we were able to sample each restaurants "original menu" and just missed master chef or whatever the last day's menu is called. I think you should be able to get ressies and if not, I'd just call Palos daily to see about cancelations. When we were there they said Wed night was full but there were some empty tables.

They did do the wine tasting on the 4 day in May on the day at sea. You can check more recent Navigator's at www.castawayclub.com (thanks Barb).

Have fun and smooth sailing!

Wow, the marathon! You guys are awesome. My boyfriend and I will on board with you. We're planning for Palo for the last night so we don't miss any of the restaurants. If we see two people who are super in shape but exhausted from dealing with four kids we'll pop over and say hi. ;)

Thanks. Any other comments re: brunch at Palo, or best day to do it on 4 day cruise?
