HI,

Dh and I are hoping to get the chance for 1 dinner alone. I have 4 yo who I expect will be no problem to check into the kids club. However, I would need to coordinate with my 2 yo at the flounders nursery. any advise on how to approach this? I assume make Palo ressie first?

also which night/resturant do I try and exchange for palo?

thanks in advance

8 days til we leave on vac. 15 dyas til we cruise!

Get on board as soon as you can... grab a bite at the buffet and then plan on spending your next hour or two getting all of your ducks in a row for the trip... dinner ressies, spa visits, baby sitting, etc.... then you're good to go and can kick back and enjoy the rest of the trip...

I generally go to wherever they do the Palos reservations (wavebands, I think on the Wonder) at least a half hour before they open and then dash up to Flounders and lock that in...

Depending on the lenght of your cruise would dictate which resteraunt you want to opt out of... three day leaves you with having to dump one of them... anything beyond that is easy... dump the one you've been to...

Have a ball... you're in for a fun time...

I'd suggest splitting up...

In Jan, I went to get Palo ressies and DW went to Flounders. We used 2-way radios - it worked great!

As to what resturant to skip...might check some of the web sites for menus for specials you don't want to miss.

Hard to say...'night'...you did not say if you are going on a 3-4-7 day cruise.

Good luck

With DS being 5, we will not be needing Flounders. But, I have seen this type of question posted several times on the board now.

What juggling!!! Trying to get reservations, that are necessary to be for the exact same time, at two completely different places. Especially where the biggest times fill up fast at both places? Surely DCL has encountered guests who are dealing with this situation on nearly every cruise. I just have to wonder, why doesn't DCL have a system by which, as you make your reservations for Palo, they would simply call down to Flounders and lock that in for guests who need this?

Same idea could also go for the spa... These ressies simply must be co-ordinated... Why make it so very hard for the guests, sending people running all over the ship, armed with running shoes and/or two way radios, and only the hope that the reservations at both places work out together.

Anybody at DCL reading this!!!! :D

Thanks you for your responses. I think DH and I will have to coordinate with two way radios. I could book the palo and spa while he does flounders. we will be on the eastern 7 day cruise. we will be driving up from the palm beach are that morning and plan on arriving early since we will be already in florida. Hopefully that will help get good time slots. I should also note the suggestion cards to disney to coordinate or block some time for the flounders/palo dilemma. seems obvious and a good idea. Since I am pg with my third, I may need to do this again for our next trip. I am already assuming we will want to go again LOL
