I'm so excited for our cruise on the Dream - we sail on the double dip on 24th July! This will be our 5th Disney cruise but our first in concierge!! I've already booked a cabana and also Palo but I'm unsure as to whether I've booked the right night?

I asked concierge to avoid the night in Animators Palate and when I checked in my cruise itinerary our Palo reservation is on Pirates night. We've always enjoyed this meal previously so I'm unsure as to what to do? Should I try to change to another night without knowing my dining reservation or wait until I get onto the ship?

Thanks for your help.

Couple of thoughts - is your Palo/Pirate night on a 3 night cruise? If so, the menu in whatever dining room you are scheduled for will be the rotational menu for that dining room (no special Pirate menu on Pirate night on a 3 night cruise). If it's on the 4 night cruise, then Pirate night does have the Pirate menu in all dining rooms. I know it's an unpopular stance, but I like the Pirate menu, and I find the Pirate buffet (after the fireworks) less appealing. Personally, I don't see a taco bar/buffet as a full buffet.

Personally, I'd probably wait until onboard and have the Concierge host "fix" things for me, if it needed to be.

We are on the CC double dip 5 night cruise. I think I will wait until I'm on the ship.

Thanks for your reply.

Keep it as it is concierge knows best and we will normally schedule Palo on pirate night.

If you like Pirate Night (we do too!) then definitely change it on board. Concierge doesn't always know best...only you know what your true preferences are. Once on board, take a look at the menus for the different nights and let Concierge know which night you'd like to go to Palo. They should be able to change it for you at that time.

Concierge do know best they work there I regularly book Palo on pirate night and do both, I have Paol at 6pm and I am out in time for the show and pirate night. The pirate night buffet is better than the MDR food.

But they can swap if for you, yes.

We've got Palo at 7pm - we've normally enjoyed the Pirate menu in the MDR but I agree with you about the buffet.
